LISA POV
"Do you even know how to park, Jennie?!"
"You're not helping, Manoban! Just go down instead of pressuring me. I can do this."
"I told you, let me park the car!" But I went down the car anyway. Jennie's trying to park the parallel way. But she's too proud to ask for help, so I just let her. Jisoo confirmed she'll be coming over, too. Seulgi? No response. I'm sure she hasn't seen my message yet. 'Cause if she had, she'd be here in a swift.
If the coffee shop near my unit is where I often go to for a quick hangout, OPEN is my go-to place to chill. Most of the time, just by myself. But I've brought Kang and Jisoo here, too. It's kind of hidden so not a lot of people visit, but definitely known to the LGBT community. The owners are siblings who both have partners of the same sex, making it a lot safer and friendlier than the other nightclubs. Most of the hired employees are part of the community, too. And after all the questions Jennie had, I thought this would be the perfect place to start with. I just hope she won't get overwhelmed or anything. It's a weekday after all, most people visit the place on weekends.
"Finally!" I said teasing Jennie while she went down the car and walked to me.. She didn't say anything but hit me in the arm, instead.
We crossed the street and were now in front of a burger shop.
"Really, Lisa? You made me drive here for a burger? We could've stopped by the burger stand in the university."
"Hush Kim. This way, come." I led her down the stairs to an iron gate.
"What is this? You're scaring me..."
"Patience, Jennie." I answered as I gripped the handle and slid it sideways. We were welcomed by another door with a sign that said 'Come out! We're OPEN!' Jennie looked at me and I at her with a smirk on my face before I pushed the door. I was excited!
The music filled my ears as soon as we entered. Speakers weren't banging, though. In fact, one might feel it was too soft for a club, but it suited my taste. I looked again at Jennie and she seemed unsure of what was happening. Her eyes traveled to almost every corner of the pub making me laugh internally. I saw Jisoo waving at us near the bar table where she was sitting with none other than, yep, you guessed it right, Rosie!
As soon as Jennie saw them, she squealed!
"Rosie! What are you doing here?"
"I was with Jisoo when Lisa messaged her. We were trying these awesome cheesecakes then boom! I'm here, too. How about you?" The blonde answered excitedly.
"Lisa insisted on having a beer tonight and said it should be my treat since I ruined her day because of the research." Jennie answered while rolling her eyes. This must be one of her favorite habits. But I just realized that she lied. It wasn't the reason! But she gave me a sharp look which I immediately understood. Ok, I won't spill.
"Yeah, I was just supposed to bum all day. But there came Jennie, who bugged me to do the thesis. I have a lot of backlogs on my music already. How 'bout you, Chu? You got a new batch?"
"Yep, just one, though. Oh, you'll love it!" Jisoo said excitedly. Got Dashboard this time!" She leaned towards me to emphasize the band's name.
"Woah! That's great! I shall listen to them soon, too."
The two other girls were just looking at us. I realized they had no idea what we were talking about.
"Sorry, Dashboard Confessionals, you heard of it?" I asked them both.
