Maddie

Michael and I walked into the hospital with him leading me through, "Calum will be on break soon, do you want to show Ashton and Luke?" he asked and I nodded. We went up the elevator and down the hallway to Luke's office. Michael opened the door, making the two look over, both their eyes widening, "Check on the new hairdo," Ashton smiled as we came in. "It looks beautiful,"

"Thanks," I thanked him.

"You look great, do you love it?" Luke asked and I nodded happily. "You cut a lot off, it looks awesome,"

"Michael said she cut off six inches," I informed them.

"Well it looks great, has Cal seen?" Ashton asked.

"He texted saying he wasn't off yet," Michael told him.

"He should be down soon," Luke told us. We sat around and I let them talk as I scrolled through my phone until the door opened and Calum came in. He looked stressed, but a smile instantly grew on his face when he saw my hair. I was glad his excitement matched mine.

"That turned out amazing oh my God," he grinned happily as I got up and tackled him in a hug. "Do you love it?" he asked as he hugged me back.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Good, I'm glad,"

"Michael got me hair stuff too, so I can take care of it now,"

"That's exciting," he said. "We should get going to meet Aria," he told me and I nodded.

"Thank Michael," I thanked him.

"Anytime kiddo, I'm glad you love it," he smiled. We said a final goodbye to the guys, then walked down the halls to Aria's office, making small talk.

"Did the appointment go ok?" he asked as he held my hand.

"Yeah, I was nervous at first," I admitted, "cause I didn't want her saying it was a bad idea, but she didn't. She was nice,"

"I'm glad everything went well," he smiled. "You look a lot happier,"

"I don't take care of my hair a lot, but now I'm going too,"

"I think you had a lot of other things on your mind that were more important than washing hair, right?"

"Yeah," I nodded.

"And that's ok, right now we're going to get things back on track," he explained.

"I feel more motivation to get better," I said.

"That's the goal," he smiled. "Is there anything else we can do to help?"

"I'm not sure,"

"Doesn't need to be an immediate response, you can think on it," I nodded in response. We made it to an office and he knocked on the door. We were greeted by a woman with purple hair.

"Calum, it's so nice to see you," she grinned, then looked at me, "you must be Maddie, I love your hair,"

"I love yours too," I quietly responded. She thanked me and we entered the office.

"So Maddie, you're considering therapy?" she asked and I nodded. "Therapy is good, but sometimes certain therapists don't work for everyone. It can take multiple sessions to get the right person, and that's ok," she explained. "Different things work for people. Do you have any questions?" she asked, but I shrugged.

"Do you want to ask about what happens while you're here?" Calum asked and I nodded.

"We'll just sit and talk. You get to lead the conversation and tell me about whatever you're comfortable telling me, and whatever you say is private unless I feel you are in danger to yourself or someone else," she explained. "And if you'd like we can play a game as well, like a card game or board game," I nodded as I looked down at my lap. "It's your choice if you'd like to have Calum join or not. It could even be for some sessions, all, or none," she explained. Again, I just nodded in response. I didn't really know what to say, I wasn't thrilled about it but also I wanted to figure out how to get better. I know Calum wanted me to give it a shot, and that was nerve wrecking.

"When could she start?" Calum asked.

"How about next week on Monday?" Aria suggested.

"That'll work," Calum smiled.
