As the untamed lands of Schon showed its fangs more, its terrain, now covered in an unforgiving snow and the temperatures has forced most of its population into caves and hiding spots while Paul is practicing his revolver tricks, spinning his gun like a cowboy while the carriage enters a rundown town with trees overgrowing its buildings full of differing species of the cursed species.
The snow blanketed its dirty look as strange and intimidating adventurers went on with their daily lives wearing varying degrees of protection with some not even wearing leather armor and only carrying a belt with a sword whilst its people were preparing hauling food and carcasses into underground areas as some took to looking at the tall trees with no green present on them.
Behind some of the houses were animal pens with some of the gates opened. Paul sees a black sheep grazing by the road with no one even caring to give it a slight look as Zergel takes in the cold air and stops by the only building within their vicinity with two floors. "Lady, take the man with you." Bahamut turned and looked at her Master, the man silently spinning his revolver as a bunch of small furry creatures walked up to him. "Would it be fine to move him around?"
He nods as he dismounts from the front. "Yes and it would be better to have him with us. People here aren't really the most respectable when it comes to you humans. Most of all, ones that smell as civilized as him."
Bahamut proceeded to go around, looking at Paul who was smiling at the kids. "Okay, I don't understand any of you." Although visibly depressed and tired, their curiosity with his uniform was enough to make him lighten up as the lady in black walked up to them.
A mere growl from her made them scurry off like rats caught by a cat. "Woah, no need for that, Bahamut. Remember, you have to be soft and elegant." Helped him up, she looked at his face as he had his hand on his wound. "Master, you may not feel it right now. But half of this town is looking at us as if we're extra food."
His eyes widened as he looked around and could see the Werewolves and Werebears standing idly by from afar as she closed the tailgate.
Entering the tavern, she sets him down on the table next to a window overlooking their carriage and leans down to the height of his sleepy face as he holds his wound. "Are you fine?" making a thumbs up coupled with a nod of the head made her shake her head. "Yup, yup. No need to worry too much Bahamut. Come on, you're breaking my heart here. Ahahahaha. I can go till next year, I swear."
She holds his hand, wrapping her long slender fingers around his. This immediately prompts his heart to start racing, feeling her soft and warm palm. He looks up and their faces are inches from one another. "Master, remember our contract? I have been using it more and tapping into your emotions. You're still in distress even right now."
"D-don't worry. It's just the cold." He visibly blushes as he smells her flowery scent whilst shaking his head. "Hm. Good to see you're still yourself. Don't let this one event cloud your head Master. There's still much to be done." Slowly blinking, she stands straight up, their hands still connected to one another. "Mhm. Thank you Bahamut."
"Mhm." She smiles back as Zergel arrives, tugging Bahamut's veil along her neck.. "Follow me. There's a lotta' plates." Taking two of them, the Dragon began to wobble as she walked on the sickly floorboards below. The tenants inside would stare but only for a moment as they could feel the intensity of her presence overriding the beauty she held.
As she was about to reach their table, Bahamut stumbled hard with Paul having to grab the plates from her as she quickly caught her footing. "Geez, are you good? What shoes have you been wearing anyways? Yesterday you faceplanted on the snow too." She lifts her skirt up, revealing a pair of shiny black stilettos with the crest of the Black Dragon Cult on its top. "Wha- Oh yeah, I forgot you had those."
