In his head, Jackson could once again hear the deafening sounds of a Military bands' drums and trumpets drowning out the Generals taking turns as slowly a plan of military action was concocted right before him. "Do you seriously think conventional methods of suppression of enemy air defense would work on extremely mobile robots? General Secretary, what kind of robots are we talking about here?"
Rossi nods to the man in charge of the powerpoint to change slides. The following photos was from a recon drone that was just recently sent, it showed small and compact quadrupedal armored robots armed with what could be dual 30mm autocannons and others armed with what seems to be 75mm smoothbore cannons. The photos below showed larger beetle shaped ones, eating the dirt and absolutely armored with reactive armor plates. The room was silenced, jaws dropped at the sight of the machines.
"These are the self replicating robots we had found, there's more. Next slide please." The next ones show an extremely tall quadrupedal robot that towers 300 foot tall trees, it's carrying two large cannons of unknown caliber, it was surrounded by a hive of Quadcopter Drones. "What's exactly powering them again? Haiiyyaaa.."
One of the Generals from the 4th Reich Guild stands up, pointing his finger at the massive metallic creature. "Mein Gott, have we spotted ones capable of taking out aircraft?" Rossi looked at the Binder once again. "They're powered by plants, corpses, fish, water and everything else in the Biosphere of this unknown world. Yes, we've spotted ones with Anti Air. The very same drone that took this picture got shot down by this."
The next slide shows an eight legged oval shaped robot that had a hatch open on its top which released an Anti Air missile that took down the UAV. "That Drone there was an MQ-9 Predator Drone flying at five thousand feet. We call those ones Mark IIs, the smaller ones Mark Is, the larger ones Mark IIIs. Efforts are already underway by the Men of the Woods in recovering the Guild Leaders of each of the Three Kingdoms."
Grahame proceeds to lift up his hand. Taking everyone's attention. "So far, we might only find out about them tomorrow. I've contacted Iron Mountain and my Supreme General Maltese." Hearing the name, Jackson's eyes perk up, looking at the NA/EU side of the Assembly Hall. "Is Matlese going to deploy your newly created Army of the Damned for this? Might be a good way to use them."
Rostock's leader then stands up, both hands on top of the wooden table. "Blyat, I suggest we act now, just seeing these images already tells us enough. Every moment we waste bickering, more and more of these machines replicate!" Grahame nodded as he looked at Rossi intently. "I agree with the Slav, we should integrate the plans made by our Asian counterparts. We'll perform a joint Forward Recon, encase and quarantine the affected region and quickly start bombing them."
Though the Greater Japan Guild didn't hop in the fire immediately, instead standing up and bowing before Rossi. "Excuse us, May we ask about their numbers?" The UN General Secretary then turned to the expected size, he didn't sugarcoat the math. "A good five to ten thousand. Though, our calculations think they'd grow to twenty thousand by the time we'd be able to move."
Everyone was left flabbergasted by the number, unable to find the words for it. Jackson himself just left with his eyes wide open at how much of an Army composition awaited them in the Great Plains of Geraldia.
Back at Uptown Alana and Bahamut are enjoying a good Coffee with some Pizza while sitting beside the window of a coffee shop. The Countess watched as the Sun of her world set on the massive railyard that separated the glinting skyscrapers and the industrial rustbelt. "Incredible, this triangular shaped bread tastes amazing." She immediately lifts up her hand. "Another!" Whilst Bahamut had her entire face, just recently manicured and sanded, already dirtied with Ranch dressing.
"By the Blood of my Ancestors, Dragon! Your manners!" As she picks up the Dragon by the top of its long neck, the Elf behind the Counter picks up the remote and turns the TV on, the channel being a livestream of the UN Conference Meeting. "We will lay down massive bombings first! B-52s from the Men of the Woods will aid in this endeavor!" ; "Da, I agree with Comrade Grahame. The Rostock Guild shall aid, we will deploy our Tu-95s and also flatten them!"
