As Paul's wounded body lay resting on the back of the wagon wall, his eyes watching the dark night's sky as the stars shone brightly through the scattered clouds. With a cold breath, he pulls his trenchcoat over his body as his hand holds his wound.

Looking down, he watched over Bahamut assemble a campfire as she took the pan from inside and some butter. "Master, some of our spices are all over the crate." His head rolled over to the side with a dead pan expression on him. "Salvage what you can but salted steak itself is good enough." Using her magic, she gathers the broken jars and fixes them although they are no longer as full as before.

Walking back out to the fire. The butter has completely melted as she placed the slab of beef into it. Making her sway her hip sideways back and forth as she moved her nose right above the flames. Paul on the other hand just blinked as he nodded his head. "Nice. Uhm... Bahamut. Are you mimicking flapping your wings?" her butt stopped moving as she looked sideways. "I... forgot."

"Pfft. Be sure to keep watch on that pan." She quickly looked down and got the fork and with an intense focus, flipped it on its back as she sprinkled more salt and pepper on it. Suddenly, her head perked up and walked back to the food crate and fetched some thyme from the jar and threw it in the pan. "Ahahaha! Good on you! Look at that, a Dragon of all things cooking some steak!"

Hearing his upbeat voice made her smile as she took a plate. Using water magic, cleaned it to a sparkle and handed it to him. "Master, can you eat? Do you want me to chew for you?" He took the metal plate away from her and shrugged. "No. I can eat. I know you'd swallow this thing whole if you could."

"What? That's not gonna happen, Master." As she plopped down her portion which was three more slabs of thick cut steaks. She opted instead to take the whole pan and sat at the end of her Master's feet at the edge of the tailgate. Her hands looked down on the spoon and fork.

"You... do know how to use those, right?" her head slowly looks at him and he's met with two blinks. "Alright. Come closer." demonstrating to her how to hold utensils. The dragon lady proceeded to mimic his every move. "And remove your veil when eating... hell, why do you even have that?"

"It's to hide my face, Master. I... am not a mortal afterall. My followers shouldn't remember this face but the dragon one." scratching his head, he took a bite of the steak and nodded. "Hmm. For a first timer, this is quite good. Nice job, Bahamut." She proceeded to take her crown off and pushed her head into his chest. "Ow! Ow! Ow!" Already knowing what she wants. He sighs and begins to brush her head.

His fingers met no resistance on her hair. It simply would glide over it and when he began to play with it. None of the strings of hair would wrinkle or even become ruined. "Woah..." without even knowing it, he had lifted her hair to his nose and took a quick sniff. "Ahhhh... smells like flowers." all the while, Bahamut was blushing as she laid her head on top of her hands.

"M-Master. How long are you going to be playing with my hair?" realizing what he has been doing, he proceeds to brush the top of her head. "Ahahahaha, sorry. Wow, so this is the body of a Goddess. I can't believe I am actually touching it." After some pats, she raised herself up and began eating. With Paul having to slowly take bites. "Ahhhh... it might take a while before I can fully work again. She did a number on me..." He catches his breath, still having a hard time calming down.

"Eh, I'd rather have you just sitting in a place than going around and getting yourself into trouble, Master." He then began to cut another piece of the steak. Having to use far more energy than usual to even take a small part off. Making him annoyed. "Damn it. What if I just kill myself? That's worth a try."

Seeing her pretty face turn to dread, as if she just heard something unspeakable to her. Her chewing even stopped as he smiled and giggled. "Ahahahah, but then again. We'd have no idea where I'd respawn... and that this might eat my soul since souls are also Mana. Ahem. Sorry." He proceeds to look down and return back to eating as Bahamut exhaled and found herself in a strange mood.
