As the afternoon sun's ray pierced through the blinds of the hospital room window, Jackson sat in his gurney, still donning a patient's gown as a nurse came and checked up on him. He only greeted her with a smile as a Dragon lay sleeping on top of his hardened chest.
Outside, the place was still bustling with tents from the Native Kingdoms and from a Medical Order of the Holy See, many of them now only being half filled and most, already being disassembled as heavy vehicles and ambulances were now able to roam around the block without much of a hassle.
Though the shift at the hospital was still around the clock, the weight of the amount of their patients has mostly dissipated, with only those in least worrying conditions being left, the staff still working on getting their Mana stable to continuously perform healing spells and even revives.
After getting his blood pressure checked, Mana levels gauged, and the IV bag replaced, he got his body wiped as the nurse took the clipboard attached to his gurney and updated the numbers. "You seem well. Tonight's meal will be Turkish Beef Stew, General. Please feel free to press the call button if you encounter any issues." With a click of her pen, the ponytailed player walks out. "I know we have like... ten overall female members but..." John just rests his hand on Escobar's shoulder.
"Okay, okay. I shut." Shaking his head, Jackson puts his hands behind his head as he rests it on the soft pillow. "Also, that Vampiric Longsword you have. What the hell is up with it? It pierced my Eldritch Armor like it's nothing. Bahamut mentioned something about it being made of Starmetal?"
Spinning her torso to look at him, the Countess' eyes perked up, seeing the stool was capable of spinning also. "Oh, what an ingenious creation." She then looked at it before sitting back down. "Ahem. I apologize." Fixing herself and looking dignified once again, her golden eyes intently stared at Jackson's face. "It's made out of ancient materials, mainly being meteorite steel that even the oldest of Vampires do not know of. It's only given to the Royal Families that have shown great combat prowess in their bloodline. A proof of Knightship and mastery of the art of the sword."
Nodding, his fingers began to slowly stroke Bahamut's back. "I'm surprised they taught you how to use a sword. Don't Vampires of your caliber just use their hands and insane magic?" as she nodded, the Countess turned to the left side. Looking at the two other Generals. "Of course, the population of the Vampire Kingdom is only in the millions. Everyone must carry some weight on their shoulders, we're powerless against tens and tens of millions of Elves and Men. Not counting the Beastfolk and the Hybrids outside the walls."
She then proceeded to lean down, her arm reaching down as her hand strokes her black stockings. "Swords are a good way for us not to extinguish our energy. It lets us rest while being capable of striking down even the most toughest of foes. I used my hands against you for I saw your skill with the sword but... you do not yet know how to react against a Vampire's nails."
"Impressive. Though, your management skills. I'd like to see that in action later." seeing the calm atmosphere, John nods to Escobar, the two smiled at each other before laying their hands on his legs. "Well, me and Escobar are gonna go to the main lobby. Gotta notify the others you're all well and alive and acquired a waifu. I guess you can't complain about being single now with a beautiful tall Vampire right by your side now. AHAHAHAH!" Jackson just lifts his middle finger at John as he leaves the room and stops.
Seeing this, he turned to the Countess. "Lady Minuit, can you please go outside for a moment." Without asking questions, she stands up and walks out. Standing next to Escobar as John approached his gurney. "Don't trust her fully, alright, bro? When we were asking her about her family business, she mentioned something about Blood production. Right now, you're a Sheep paired with a Wolf. Do not mistake it. She's not a human like you or me."
