XIAFEZIN ROZE'S POINT OF VIEW

"I heard everything. And I don't like what you said to our son," sabi ni Krystal pagkatapos niya akong puntahan sa balcony.

Katatapos lang namin mag-dinner. Naliguan ko na si Ruiz at nabihisan. Naroon muna siya ngayon sa kwarto nina Mama Klaudia para mag-goodnight.

"Na-realize mo ba ang sinabi mo? Kapag tumagal ito, baka lumayo ang loob ng anak natin sa'yo."

"It may...but I-I won't let that happen, Krystal. I just said that so in time, he'll know what to do if I go insane."

"And you think I'll let that happen either?"

Nakita ko ang magkahalong galit at sakit na dumaan sa mga mata niya. I looked away and looked back at the moon I was staring at even before he got in here.

"What do you want me to do? He's our child and this is the way I know to protect him. I can't be so confident about myself, and I know you know why."

Hindi siya nagsalita. I only heard him sigh. I then turned to him and saw him watching me seriously.

"What's with that look? Do you have something better to do in mind?"

"I'm not saying that what you did was wrong. I just said that I don't like it. I don't like where you're coming from."

My lips parted, then later on I bit the lower part. Humakbang siya palapit sa'kin, namumungay ang mga mata.

"What is that scene all about?"

Alam naming pareho ang tinutukoy niya.

Umiling ako. "It's just the usual nightmares, Krystal, visiting in my sleep. There's nothing much to worry. I swear."

"What's your nightmare about? I-Is it about me?"

"No, no. It's about..."

The events flashed on my mind. I let it flow just like how it did on my sleep. They never failed to make me feel cold.

"About what?" he probed and held my hands.

Nagbaba ako ng tingin sa magkahawak naming mga kamay. It warmed me and then eventually, it calmed me down.

"T-The scene how I killed the both of them showed up in my sleep, along with how I lost myself. Xia was bad talking and it made me feel so sick!"

Naramdaman ko ang pangingilid ng mga luha ko, pero hindi ko sila hinayaang tumulo. I took a deep breath to calm down my tensing nerves.

"Nasigawan ko pa si Ruiz kanina pagkagising ko. He got so scared at me. I already said sorry, but I couldn't just move on from it."

"Why do you think you shouted at him?"

"I was so frustrated. He kept on talking to me while my head was so fucked up from that nightmare. I didn't want him to see me that way," hindi ako nakahinga sa sunod-sunod kong sinabi.

He sighed.

"Well, I'm just glad that I didn't have to inject treatment for your anxiety, only medicine for your headache. You managed to calm down yourself," marahan niyang sinabi. "That's an improvement, right?"

He searched for my eyes. Hinabol ko ang hininga ko.

"Do you feel better now?"

"I don't feel bad, but I don't feel okay either."

"Alright. Don't get upset anymore. We'll extend another day here para makabawi ka kay Ruiz. Ipapasyal natin siya. Papasyal tayo."

Napakurap-kurap ako. "H-Hindi ka galit sa'kin?"
