'On a night like this you were brought into the world' Tyrion said as dani looked out the balcony. Jac was currently sucking on a lion piece. Kat had cleaned the board since jac thought they were so fun to put in her mouth.

The storm was raging outside lightning and thunder streaking the sky

'I remember that day.' Varys added

'I wish I could remember it I always thought this would be a homecoming but this doesnt feel like home' dani told them.

'We won't stay for long' tyrion told her

She looked at the board the game pieces two lions stood tall

'That's not so many lions. Dani said

'jac is eating on of them... sorry' kat said holding it out for her.

'she can keep it, I'm glad she is on my side.' Dani said winking at them. Jac reached for the lion and kat gave it back to her, they were sitting on the ground, jac sitting between her legs.

'They control over half of the seven kingdoms' Tyrion reminded her

'But everyone despises her' varys said 'but even before your arrival they plotted against her and now'

'And now they cry out for their new queen? they drink secret toast to my health? people used to tell my brother that sort of thing and he was stupid enough to believe them.' Dani told them picking up the dragon piece on the board. 'If my brother had three dragons and an army at his back he would've invaded Kings Landing already '

I know I'm conquering would be easy for you.' Tyrion told her 'but-' kat cut him off standing up.

"But remember what I said about mad queen talk?' dani glanced over at kat. 'you're not here to be queen of the ashes.' Kat reminded her.

'No' dani agreed.

'We can take the seven kingdoms without turning into a slaughterhouse if the house is support your claim against cersei we have won, we have power if the south is on our side.' Varys said

'I never properly thanked you for that.' dani said looking over at him. Jac banged the lion on the ground and flapped her arms like a dragon. Kat picked up the dragon piece and handed it to jac. She pretended it was flying waving it in front of her face and then bashing it down on the lion...

'ha!' kat laughed out loud. Watching jac beat the little lion with the dragon.

'I told you it was a good thing I have the future pirate on my side.' Dani said grinning as jac smiled, beating the lion. Tyrions face pinched watching. He was a lion. He didn't like how happy everyone else looked, even though he knew they weren't thinking of him as the broken lion.

'They joined our side because they believe you' varys said

'You started supporting my father and then you supported the man who overthrew him' Dani said looking back over the map 'you didnt serve any of them long'

'Robert was an improvement on your father' varys admitted

'If i may-' Tyrion began trying to diffuse the tension.

'Before i arrived you favored my brother did your spies tell you about me? that im stupid and weak?' Dani asked varys 'were those qualities of a good king?'

'I didnt know of your existence and when i did i only heard of your beauty.' Kat looked between them she had been through her fair share of verbal arguments but they usually ended in fist fights, this was much more civil than she was used to.

'Did you give the order to kill me?'

'King robert'

'Who hired the assassins?'

'I did what had to be done' varys informed her

'You did what you did to protect yourself' dani clarified.

'Lord varys has been-' Tyrion tried again

'What kind of a servant can switch from one leader to another?' dani questioned

'A good one. Using his eyes to see the game and the players. My loyalty lies with the people. If you demand blind allegiance. Grey worm can behead me or your dragons can eat me. But if you trust me i will guide you to the iron throne.' Varys told her. the iron throne. A waste of perfectly good swords kat thought every time it was brought up.

'Swear this to me. If you ever think im failing the people you wont conspire behind my back you will tell me to my face' dani told him

'I swear it'

'And I swear this if you ever betray me I will burn you alive' kat grinned at that. viscous! She loved it.

'I would expect nothing less of the mother of dragons.'

'I'm sorry to interrupt.' Grey came in looking around the room, the tension fading. 'The red priestess has come to see you your grace.'
