BRUTAL ESCAPE 2

"There. Go get them." He shouted at his men."

The weak ones lied there helpless. The ones that were already recovering started running towards us slowly. Their eyes were getting blank.

"Fuck!" The alpha cursed in frustration.

He quickly started running after us. "I can't let you go Ray. Impossible." He said as he ran.

We crossed the territory line and started running faster. Ray was still carrying me in his arms. I looked at his face. It showed no expression. It was as if he has another power not to feel. He was devoid of any emotions.

"It's fine here. I can run on my own." I said to him.

He kept quiet and kept on running.

When we were a little far, I noticed what was going on.

"You're......taking me home." I told him in shock.

"Yes. That's where you should be." His werewolf grunted in anger. They were not in an agreement.

"No no no... please don't take me home."

"But why? You should be at home."

I kept quiet. I really wanted to go home to meet my mum. To close my eyes and open it and discover these was all a dream. I wanted to eat my mum's food. Stay away from this whole trouble. But......

"My mum's life would be in danger. It's enough that my life is already on the line but my mum, they will find me and kill her to punish me. Please."

Ray stopped. He was thinking what step to take next.

"You're right." He said.

"You see, take me with you."

Ray looked at me with disgust. He was clearly irritated by me.

His werewolf was happy shouting "yes! Yes! Yes." Ray didn't want to take me but he had no choice. The enemy were already nearing.

He turned back and started running.

"Yes!" I shouted in excitement.

Raya also barked and I'm sure his werewolf was also very happy.

He continued running until we got to a hiding place very far from home. We neither went to my home or his hut. Those places were already in danger.

Ray put me down slowly. I wasn't wearing any footwear. He say down on the floor. He was very weak abd tired. But there was no scars or bruise around him. Then.....he collapsed.

I looked helpless not knowing what to do. Raya quickly ran to the river close by to get some water. He must have been very thirsty.

I looked at his face. His face as captivatingly handsome. He looked clearly like abd angel sent down from heaven o capture me. To capture my heart.

'Wait! Am I....... impossible." I quickly dismissed the thought from my head. But I couldn't stop starting at him.

Raya came back with water all over her fur. She shook herself close to his face and he opened his eyes immediately. Those sapphire eyes.

"What happened?" I snapped out from my thoughts what I heard him ask.

"Y-you collapsed." I was still finding it hard to speak.

He stood up from my the floor he was lying. "I'll continue from here." He said and started walking.

"Wait. How about Raya and I?" I asked looking confused.

"Manage on your own. I helped you enough."

"What! So inconsiderate. How can we manage?"

"Figure it out. U took you home you said you didn't want to stay home. So definitely you already have a plan."

'Wait. That's right. A plan.' "I have no plans." I told him feeling guilty.

He looked at me surprised. "Wow! What a nice plan.

"What should I have done? They would look for me. Definitely they would trade my scent and if the trace it home, we would be in danger. What should I have done." I was shouting, fighting the tears that was trying to find it's was out.

"Stay put. Just stay put and do nothing. Why did you leave home in the first place? Raya said you were coming to me when you got captured. Why? Who asked you to? You ran away at first didn't you? So why were you coming back?" He shouted back

"Oh! So it's my fault now. I see. It's my fault that I came to help. It's my fault that my destiny was tied to yours. It's my fault that you have so many stupid problems and I am the one to solve them. Yes. It's my fault." I was already crying.

Ray kept quiet and watched me. He didn't know what to say.

*RAY'S POV*

I watched Elena as she let the tears flow through her beautiful face. Why was she crying? This situation is not enough to make someone cry. But I understand. The human emotions is very sensitive and strong. They feel every little thing. Unlike us. Some of us don't even have the heart to feel at all.

I was looking at her as she shouted and cried. What was she even saying. I didn't understand anything. Destiny, problems, solve, tied,.......all these things were confusing. How do I console this cry baby. She was making too much notice abd we might get caught.

I quickly went up to her. I used one hand to stroke her cheek and she kept quiet. Wow.....so easy.

"Cry baby.....just stop crying now. You're wailing too much. Don't wake the sleeping neighbours."

She looked at me, shocked at what I just said.

"How can you call me that? I'm not a cry baby."

"In fact, that's your name from now onwards. Cry baby."

I smiled hearing what I said..

She looked at me, disgusted and irritated. "I'm not a cry baby "

"You are. You just finished crying and guess who stopped it. Me ."

"I was only expressing my emotions. Letting it out."

"Well, there are so many ways to let your emotions out that are far from crying?"

I looked at him. He's not a human so clearly he doesn't understand. If I ask, he would probably say throwing fists, or venting your anger. Or even, drinking a boiling water. Or better still fire.

I looked at him. He has no idea how life really is.

"Let's keep moving. We need to get food to eat. And please don't shout again. You might wake the neighbors. He said and we started moving. Raya was also walking on her own.
