T/W: Implication of nudity, suicidal thoughts

"And what did you just say is in that jar?" you say, your voice high from the shock and confusion. Sally takes another sip of her tea as she looks at the waves of the sea in front of you two. You also hold a warm cup of it in your cold hands, but you're mostly focused on listening to what your lover has to tell you.

Sally's tired eyes go to your alarmed ones and she simply smiles. "A virus. Made for a very specific person. I don't think he ever went through with it, though. But he might as well now." When you look at her questioningly, waiting for her to continue, she doesn't. Instead, she stands up and takes off her clothes. To show some respect, you shield your eyes, resulting in a soft laugh from her. "You can look, you know. Just because you're still a virgin, doesn't mean you can't see me naked."

"That's one way to call me out," you mumble as you pull your hands away from your hands, seeing as Sally walks into the cold water. At first, she shivers a bit, but she later on gets in with ease. After she lets her head rise under the water surface for a moment and comes back up again, she groans relaxed.

"God, this is so nice." She turns to you. "Come on in, Y/N! The water's fine."

"I'm not so sure, Sally," you mumble but when she keeps insisting, you simply laugh and stand up as well, approaching the water while still in your green dress and your blue jacket, in which a really dark purple petunia was placed. Your feet don't have any shoes on them at the moment, because you took them off before, and you approach the water. When you try to get in, however, you come to discover that you can't. At least, you can't get in the water, but you simply stand on it instead. "The fuck?" you simply say, trying with all your power to actually swim. "Am I fucking Jesus or some shit?"

"How odd," Sally laughs as you sit down on the water of the ocean, feeling kind of weird and wondering how that works. "It's like you're the oil."

"I guess that's also a comparison you can make," you mumble and the two of you look at the stars in the sky. "But uh, that virus you were talking about, how deadly is it? What are the symptoms?"

"It's not important, Y/N. Don't worry. Making it already costs multiple lives, Wilbur even almost died making it himself, so I find it unlikely that he'll ever use it, since it's the only exemplar he has. And even if he had used it, the victim would still have two years to live."

"Two years?"

"It takes quite some time for it to do its work. The symptoms even appear very lately. Don't be too concerned about it." That's not at all comforting. You decide not to go into it any more, though. Especially not when Sally dreamingly speaks. "We're star-crossed lovers, aren't we?" When you don't respond, unsure of what to say, she continues. "I wonder if we'll ever have the luck of being able to marry. I mean, surely, whatever god there is above, is willing to give us that happiness?" Sally grabs your hand. "Maybe you'll go to space when you pass. Live between the stars, or become the sun of another solar system. Or maybe a world instead. The chance that you'll be mine after that is small, but I can always hope, right?"

"If only this were real," you mumble under your breath, lying down so that your and Sally's head are right next to each other, while staring at the stars that seem to spell out your name.

"It's real for me," she whispers, as she puts her head against yours, closing her eyes and breathing calmly. "Is the fish still alive?" she asks you, half-asleep, as her body slowly starts fading, her feet becoming one with the water. You hum 'mhm' and she giggles. "I'm not surprised. I don't even think it'll die until I'm ready." You laugh, not sure what you're even laughing at. "You're waking up."
