T/W: Mentions of blood and murder

________________________________________________________________________________

With your hands in your pockets you walk through the foggy streets of the suburbs of the city, having no idea whatsoever as to where you're supposed to meet up with Technoblade, since he said that you'd see it for yourself, but that you would have to look further than your nose is long.

You pass a bunch of houses and bars, with quite some strangers looking at you weirdly. In the hopes to make people stop doing that, you put your hood on your head and over your face as much as you can.

Wanting to escape the constant eyes on you, you enter one of the most random pubs that there are, sitting down at the bar and asking for a drink – not specifying what kind of drink – and checking your phone for any message coming from Techno.

You chuckle to yourself, catching the attention of the bartender, who copies your laugh. She hums and puts her arms on the counter, looking at you amusedly. "Let me guess? Some kind of a hot friend that just got out of jail?" When you hear her voice, reminding you of Juno herself, you look up to make eye contact with her. Music is playing in the background and the television in the corner of the room is playing the news for people to watch. Your face appears on it too once, so that explains the looks you got on the streets. You have no idea, however, in what context it's shown.

"Time goes by, I don't know why I would ever let you hurt me. Look me in the eye, tell a little lie, let me know you won't desert me."

"I wish," you respond to the bartender with a grin. "If he had been in jail, at least it'd have meant the police is somewhat competent." After you take a sip from your drink, she laughs and looks through the room.

"Well, I don't really mind the incompetence, to be honest. It makes life a little more eventful, you know? Criminals and injustice. There is no world without crime."

"One last night, in the moonlight, wouldn't do another if I could. Hold me tight, make it feel right, leave and never say goodbye, bye, bye."

You hum and she continues. "I didn't found the Trouble's Tavern for the angels of this world. From my many years of working here, looking at the City's criminals, none has ever been caught inside. After all, why would a sinner be seeking peace, right? Sometimes, the only reason for the evils they commit, is to quiet down the chaos in their own mind."
