You're exhausted. Your eyelids are heavy and the sand in the corners are even more tiring. Your legs feel weak and your mind is even foggier than usual. All you know is that when you can properly get yourself to stand up and look around, you're not in the DeMeter building anymore, where you must have passed out. No, this place is not at all familiar to you. Well, it is a little, but not in the sense that you've been here before. It feels like what death would feel like, except you're not dead yet. Right!?

Trying to keep your breathing under control, you scan the train station. No, you have been here before. You must have. The posters for movies and shows that play in the theatre are ones that you've seen before, yet you're certain that you've never seen them in the City. Some of the faceless shadows that pass you carry an almost child-like ambiance with them, which you can easily recognize but not put your finger on. It's such a terrifying comfort.

The board that should show multiple arriving trains, only shows one. One singular train for which some of the people seem to be waiting. Two minutes. You have to wait for two minutes to go to the next station, going by the name of 'Βια'. This gives you the time to look around.

On the wall, someone has drawn lines. Not lines that would give a number, but more like someone's just been systematically putting them on there. Short lines. You have no idea who did it though.

But honestly, you don't even know where you are.

One minute.

"Do you also have to go to the station Βια?" an oddly familiar voice asks, but you have no idea who this figure is. The person, who you can only assume to be an older woman, has more colour than the other figures, although she too wears something dark and leaning to black or grey.

"Where am I? Who are you?" you impulsively ask and the woman simply laughs, her mask slightly moving with the action.

"Oh dear, you must be Y/N. I never thought I'd find you here again. It's been a while since your last breakdown."

"Breakdown?"

"Doesn't matter. But since the next train seems to have a delay, perhaps we could talk a little?" When you glance at the board, you see that it indeed will take longer to arrive.

"Is this a dream?"

"Maybe it is. Why? Would it matter? Would it change anything at all?" Unsure of what to say to that, you remain silent. The woman chuckles. "Do you still consider yourself to a be philosopher, Y/N?" You nod with uncertainty, resulting in the woman humming. "In that case, are you interested in discussing philosophical topics with me? What purpose has life, for example? I think it has some purpose, which we might not even understand, but I think that that is the case. In the end, life is a journey and death is the destination, right?"

"Don't take me wrong, Miss, I like discussing things, but I'm just trying to understand what the fuck is going on. I'm not dying, am I?"

"What?! No, of course not! But you will if you stay here!" The train stops and the doors open. "The Strong Scent is spreading itself all over this station. Anyone who's stayed in it for too long, died. Come on, Y/N, we have to get on the train now!" The woman takes your hand and drags you into the train with an unexpected strength, while that smell enters your nostrils. Suddenly, you feel as if you can't breathe anymore. Once the doors finally close hurriedly, you and the woman having barely made it, she looks at you again while you see the lights in the train slightly darkening. "Now that you're safe, I'm sure we have a bit more time to talk?" But unfortunately for her, before you can even say anything else, you faint.
