Thor:
Nervously I paced up and down in that tower. Natasha had told us that there had been a break-in at HQ while Clint was there with Percy.
"Thor, if you run a trace into the carpet here, it won't bring it back either." Bruce tried to reassure me. I ran my hand through my hair." He was right, but I had to do something. I really wanted to help searching for them, but I wasn't allowed. I had to stay in the tower with the rest of the Avengers and be ready in case of another attack.Natasha stood up and came towards me. I knew she was worried about her partner, as was everyone else here. "Now sit down on this sofa and stay still. Fury will contact us as soon as they find them. Clint is an agent. He knows how to survive, and so does Percy. She seems like she could survive just fine." I looked at her. Actually, she was right, but I just couldn't handle nervousness and worry as well as the others. Steve stood up and pushed me to the sofa where I dropped. Now Tony stood up. "Damn it, where are they? They can't have disappeared." Frustrated, I threw my hammer on the table, which then shattered into pieces of glass. Normally Tony would have said something, but today even he was completely at his wits' end. We were all worried about our team member and the young woman whom we had all enclosed in our hearts after only a short time. Then the phone rang. Immediately we jumped up and ran to the kitchen table. Natasha reached it first and picked up. "You're talking to Natasha Romanoff, what can I do for you?" Nothing was heard for a moment. "Jarvis, put the phone on speaker." Growled Tony. Immediately Jarvis obeyed and we could all hear."...Hill, we have heard from Agent Barton and Persephone. They are doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances and will be picked up by a staff car and then taken to the Starktower." Relieved, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. The others also looked as if a huge stone had fallen from their hearts.Percy was fine, but she could never have a free minute... "When can we expect them?" Steve asked. "They should be with you in about 10 minutes. They'll probably need medical attention." I looked at Bruce, who nodded and hurried into his lab to get everything ready. "Thanks for letting us know Lady Hill." I thanked the box Hill's voice came from. Technology was far too complicated... Hill said goodbye and hung up. So now we had to continue waiting. After what felt like an eternity, we heard the 'ding' of the lift. I knew Percy hated lifts, so she must be pretty exhausted. That's when we saw them. Their clothes were covered in blood and dust and they were supporting each other. Immediately we ran up to them and hugged her. As I wrapped Percy in my arms, she hissed softly as I touched her shoulder. When I looked at her more closely, I could see that she had a wound there that made her green eyes glow with pain. Immediately I let go of her. After everyone else had also embraced the newcomers, Bruce came rushing in. "I have already prepared everything downstairs. Follow me please." Percy gave me a help-seeking look, but I looked away. She needed to have her wounds checked. "You may go first Percy." Said Clint being quite the gentleman. "No you go, I'm fine, I don't need a check up." He looked like he was going to protest but Percy gave him a dirty look and so he shrugged and followed Bruce into the lab. We followed them.Clint sat down on the couch and took off his top. A nasty wound was visible on his stomach, but it had already been partially treated and healed."Did you do that Percy?" She nodded. "You did well, very neat technique." Bruce praised her. She smiled slightly and looked away. "Some friends showed me how to do it." She was probably talking about some from the Apollo Hut.Bruce stitched the wound and Clint got dressed again. "Does anything else hurt?" Clint asked him. He said no and then it was Percy's turn." I don't need a check up, honestly guys, I'm perfectly healthy." Even as she said this, she swayed slightly." Well, we can clearly see that Percy, now sit down on that cot or you'll faint." Reluctantly Percy did as she was told and sat down. "Does anything hurt?" Percy shook his head stubbornly."So that's not your blood on your clothes?" Bruce raised an eyebrow. Again Percy shook his head. "There's nothing wrong with me. I just have a headache and I really need sleep and a hot shower." With those words, Percy tried to get up, but Steve held her by her wounded shoulder. She drew in a sharp breath and contorted her face in pain. Steve lifted her up and sat her back on the cot. She gave him an angry look. He, however, only looked at her with concern. "Let me have a look at your shoulder, please." Bruce tried again. "It's nothing serious. I've already treated it. It's just a superficial cut." I could understand her not wanting to show her scars... "If Percy says so, we should believe her." She looked at me gratefully. "There you have it. I'm going to take a shower then." She swung down from the cot and walked out of the room. "Stark, she's even more stubborn than you." I couldn't agree more with Natasha on that.We walked back into the living room where we sat down around the splintered table." What exactly happened?" Steve asked Clint. And so he told. When he had finished, we all agreed. There had to be a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D., otherwise the enemies could never have tricked the security system.
