(F) Dopple POV:

Sabre... his name continued to echo through my mind. I (internally) waved it off. It was just a feeling, and nothing else. The only people I knew were, of course, my sister Gänger and the Yellow Steve Village. There was no way that I knew who he was. He was a stranger, after all. And besides, the Yellow Steves rarely spoke out loud, so I couldn't have heard it from rumors. Nonetheless, I still had the eerie feeling, so I decided to trust him. Besides, what could go wrong with trusting someone you just met? Nothing!

"Well, anyways, Sabre, are you hungry? I know we just met, and you probably don't trust me, but I'd love it if you'd try my stew. It's my own special recipe!" I said excitedly.

Sabre just stared at me. I think. I couldn't tell, since I couldn't see his eyes, but he didn't look very impressed. He didn't say no, though, so I quickly searched through my inventory. Grabbing some of my Special Stew, I joyfully handed it to Sabre. Apparently, though, I caught him off guard, because he swatted the stew away, and it fell to the grass with a splash and a clink. I stared at the ruined stew, a sudden feeling of sadness overwhelming me. I put my heart into every stew I make, and this one was no exception. Seeing my precious Special Stew in the dirt and grass hurt more than I'd expected. I felt a few tears well up in my eyes, and Gänger gave me a concerned glance.

"I-... My-... My stew..." I managed to say, my voice cracking slightly. One of my tears fell into the grass, and I looked away from Sabre, catching his astonished expression just before. I felt my arms begin to shake, and Gänger reached out her hand and touched my shoulder.

"...Are you seriously crying over some stupid stew?" Sabre asked incredulously. His unimpressed expression became, and I don't even know how, more unimpressed. I felt my face get hot, embarrassment flooding through me.

"N-no!" I lied defensively, still facing away from him. "Of c-course not! W-why would I cry over some-.. Some dumb stew..." my voice fell away, a wave of unexplainable loneliness filling me.

"Hmm." He sounded like he didn't believe me.

"You know, the whole point of stew is to eat it, right?" Gänger snapped at Sabre, her voice resonating with anger. He gave a dismissive grunt and began to walk away.

"What the- where do you think you're going, buster?! You need to apologize to Dopple! You disrespected her stew!" Gänger seemed to be steaming from her ears.

Sabre turned from the direction he was walking in and looked directly at us- at least, I think he did. Again, I can't tell, since I can't see his eyes. He (probably) stared at us, then disappeared in a flurry of lightning.
