(F) Dopple POV:
"That's what everyone keeps saying. It's been weeks for me, though. I wasn't sure I'd ever see you again..." I murmured that last part, hugging my sister tighter.
Gänger remained silent, slowly loosening her grip in our embrace. We finally stepped away from each other, and she seemed to remember that Elite and M were still in our house.
".............Dopple, who are these people? Are they the other two that were at the village when...?"
"Oh, uh, yeah, they were. This is Elite," I said, gesturing to the shadowy-colored Sabre, "and this is M," I gestured to the Red Steve in a tattered cloak currently sitting on our couch.
"...And you know them, because...?" Gänger trails off, hoping for me to finish her words.
"Well, uhm..." I tried to find the right words. Oh boy. I'm pretty sure anything I'd say she'll freak out to... This isn't going to end well. "I may or may not have... fought Twisted?"
Gänger stared at me, and I gave an awkward laugh, glancing away.
"You fought Twisted," she repeated my words skeptically. "You, the most trusting, pacifistic person to probably ever exist, fought Twisted."
"Weeeell, less-so fought and more-so sent him flying with an enchanted stick. Either way, he probably saw it as fighting, sooooooo..."
Gänger continued to stare at me with an unreadable gaze. For the first time since, well, basically ever, I had no idea of what she was thinking. However, before I could even begin to guess at whatever her many thoughts may be, light filled my senses, enveloping me.
I had a sudden feeling of deja-vu as I turned, looking all around me. Above me was an endless night sky, though the twinkles of the stars seemed weak and faded, while below me was a deep, swirling ocean. I seemed to stand on it, its waters lapping at my feet. Suddenly, signs surrounded me. Only, this time, the words were slightly different. "Please remember..." they each had written on them. Even stranger, the whispers from before, instead of quietly enticing me, seemed to beg in a sorrowful, grieving tone, "Won't you please remember...?" The voices began to overwhelm me, and I noticed that the ocean was no longer at my feet; it had risen to my mid-calf, and was slowly rising. Suddenly, the whispers stopped all at once, and I fell into the ocean, watching as the last twinkle of stars flickered out.
"...You mean this has happened before...?" I heard a distant, muffled voice ask.
"...It happened right before you came..." a different voice answered, though equally as quiet and, seemingly, mumbled.
"...Is she going to be okay?" I heard the first voice ask again, the sound becoming more clear.
"I'm not sure. I guess we'll just have to wait for her to- wait, what are you-?!"
Cold water suddenly splashed into my face, and I sat up with a jolt, finally able to focus on the sights and voices around me. I could feel my heart racing, and suddenly water seemed very unappealing. What just happened?
