(M) M POV:
I grasped my sword tightly, its sharp point being one of the few things that comforted me in this moment. The other was Elite, who, greatly to my surprise, stood protectively between me and that monstrosity. Gänger looked shocked, shakily holding out a sword of her own as she slowly backed away from them. I still couldn't believe that he had found me. Why won't you just leave me?!
"My, my, you look a little different, Twisted," Elite said, his tone not betraying his intent. His expression, however, did. His mouth was curved in a fierce determination, and I could sense the threat Elite was posing on him, despite the fact he was still weak.
The strange-looking Twisted gave an echoey, hysterical laughter. "I could say the same to you, Elite. I should've known you were his shadow."
"Shadow? Who's shadow? What are you talking about?" Elite asked him, a threatening tone still lining his voice as he spoke.
Shadow.... Shadow... What could he possibly mean by that? I know that Elite is- was- a manifestation of the darkness, and he looks like Sabre... but it still doesn't make sense.
"If you don't know by now, I doubt you ever will. I don't care about you either way! I'm only here for him," the strange-looking Twisted pointed to where I was behind Elite. I felt my body shaking in fear. No!! No way!! I'm never going back with you!!! NEVER!!!
"I don't think so," Elite responded calmly, still standing between us. Gänger looked incredibly confused at all of what was happening, but I knew that no one would bother trying to explain it to her. At least, not right now...
"What, you think you can stop me?!" The strange-looking Twisted laughed hysterically once more, its tone high-pitched and echoey.
"I don't think. I know," Elite retorted, hostility clear in his voice. I saw Gänger begin to back up, a sharp terror glistening in her blue-ish green gaze.
"Is that so?" he erupted into a crazed laughter once more. "You really have changed." Twisted gave a menacing grin.
"Not really."
And then everything erupted into flashes of lighting as Twisted suddenly shot a strike at Elite. Gänger left in a clash of light, a bright red mushroom in her hand. Elite grunted, staggering slightly before standing straight again.
"Is- is that all you got?" he taunted, though I could tell he was in pain.
"There'll be much more until you get out of my way."
