(F) Dopple POV:

I finally came home- back to my world- only to find Twisted attacking M and Elite. Without even thinking about it, I took out my Favorite Stick and he went flying beyond my vision. Just then Elite collapsed, and M rushed to his side, fear flickering across his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked him, crouching down on the other side of Elite. Shakily, he nodded. I gave a huge sigh of relief. "I'm glad I got here when I did. I wish I could've gotten here sooner to help, though..."

M gave me a reassuring glance, almost like he was saying, Hey, don't worry. At least you're here now. I gave a small smile, then looked back down at Elite. He didn't look too good. If only I could've gotten here sooner... I'm so sorry, Elite. Without hesitating, I hoisted him up from the ground, his limp body leaning against my side. I forced his arm over my shoulder, and M quickly joined on the other side. It came to me that the Yellow Steves were nowhere to be seen. Where did they go? Did something happen to them while I was gone? I hope they're okay...

"M, I'm going to be teleporting us to a safe place, okay? We're going to my house- that is, Gänger's and my house," I told him, taking out a mushroom with my free hand. When he nodded in understanding, I used my little red fungi to teleport us.

As light surrounded us, then faded away, the scenery around us changed. We had been in the Yellow Steve Village, but now we were just outside my colorful house. To my surprise, it looked just as nice and new as when Gänger and I had built it. Its multicolored walls rose above the Oak trees that surrounded it, and, though it looked kind of shabby, I had a sudden feeling of pride. It didn't look great, but it wasn't half bad. Without a second thought, I opened the cute birchwood door, and M followed, both of us still supporting Elite.

The inside was just as I remembered it, and I felt my heart pang sadly. I hadn't seen it in so long that looking at it now, being practically untouched, brought a tear to my eye. But then it brought a sudden feeling of dread. I've been gone for ages! Why isn't anything dusty or broken down? And where's Gänger? Shaking the worried thoughts from my mind, I focused on the present. Leading M, we brought Elite up the winding wooden staircase and into the room I shared with Gänger. M seemed reluctant to enter, but I flashed him an inviting look, letting him know that he wasn't intruding. We carefully placed Elite onto the half-orange-half-green bed, and we both took a few steps back.

Glancing to one of the windows, I saw that my Allium I had in a flowerpot was just fine, looking almost like it'd been watered recently. M shuffled to the bedroom door nervously, not sure what to do. I looked over at him, then gave him a comforting smile. "Let's go downstairs to the couch," I offered.
