(M) M POV:
Sabre and the two other non-Steves had already appeared, but my heart was still pounding in my chest. Who are these people? What's Sabre doing here? My mind was whirring with questions, but I couldn't voice them. One of the questions stuck with me the hardest, though. What should I do? Sabre... He'd said that he would do things worse than Twisted and Elite, but still, how could I attack him? Sure, he said he wouldn't hold back against me the next time we'd meet, but I didn't believe him. There was something about him that was both threatening and calming at the same time. There's no way he'd actually attack me... right? I mean, he wouldn't be searching for me in that way after everything that had happened... Right?
"How did you follow me here..?" Sabre asked, his voice bringing me back to the present.
"Magical mushroom. But, uh, how in the name of colors are there two of you?!" the orange non-Steve seemed to panic. Panicked... Just like when Twisted attacked us... I shook my head, trying to stay focused.
"T-... two of him? But-... there's only one of him..." Elite spoke, his voice small. Scared... Relatable, Elite. Relatable. I shivered, trying to focus on what was happening around me once more.
I soon found myself holding gazes with the orange non-Steve, who I assumed was Gänger, considering what the green non-Steve had said. There was a fire in her eyes that showed a variety of thoughts. It felt like I could read what she was thinking. This isn't good. This is dangerous. How could he hurt her like that?! I hope it isn't me who he's pitying. Gänger's mind seemed like a mesh of anger, fear, curiosity, and a bit of annoyance. I sighed inwardly. Of course now I can truly understand others- right when I can't even say anything to help. It's just so-
"Pathetic," a voice echoed through my mind so loud I thought someone had said it outloud. I shiver ran up my spine, but I pushed the feeling away. Of course, I was still conflicted by many others. I have to do something. Will Sabre really attack Elite with so many innocent Yellow Steves around? Does he still feel the pain, like I do? I'd thought that I'd have more time to put my thoughts together, but I was clearly wrong. In the time I'd been thinking, Sabre had finally turned to face up. And then chaos followed.
Sabre's arm reached out, a malicious look flashing across his face. He looked determined, yet also hurt. He's on a mission of revenge. I wasn't the one who tried to stop him, though. Before I could even move, even take another breath, the green non-Steve was between Sabre and Elite and I. I saw the flicker of shock across Sabre's face as he tried to take it back. But it was too late. An incredible power shot out from Sabre's hand, striking the green non-Steve right in the heart. All of the faces around us turned to shock, horrified. And with the last bit of energy she had, the non-Steve in green said one last thing before going limp to the ground.
"Don't- don't hurt him..."
