(M) Twisted-Hypno POV:
You're going to die, and there's nothing that's going to stop that from happening! Shut up! We both know that if I die, you die with me! Not if I can help it. If you separate, he'll still kill both of us! It'll just be one at a time! That's what you think. I still have the energy to leave you and this cursed place. You're bluffing! If you had energy, you would've left by now! Clearly that isn't true, considering I'm still here. SHUT UP!
Loud, abrupt thunder made me flinch as a flurry of light appeared not too far from me. For a split second, I could've sworn I heard the humming sound of a machine, but it must have been in my imagination. Or Hypno's doing... As if I'd do something as useless as that. Shut up.
As the lightning faded, a single silhouette could be seen. Once the lightning had completely dispersed, I could barely believe my eyes. Is that-... STICK GIRL?! Of course it is, idiot. What, did you already forget what she looked like? I said SHUT UP!
The stick girl stood there for a moment as shocked silence came from Sabre. I personally didn't have the strength left to speak. Already the world was a dizzy blur around me, and any voices or sounds I heard were somewhat distorted. And yet, I could still hear her voice clearly when she spoke.
"Sabre. Is this really what you want? Is this really what you're looking for? Revenge will give you nothing."
Sabre was silent for a moment, his voice distorting and muffling slightly to me when he spoke. "...So are you alive, or dead? You can't be both. Pick one or the other."
In my peripheral vision, I could just make out stick girl's (Dopple's?) eyes. She seemed to raise an eyebrow questioningly. "I was never dead, sooooo... alive?"
"Are you really Dopple? Or is there some other strange skin-changing person out here that I should be aware of?"
"Skin-changing? I don't know what you're saying, Sabre, but yeah, I'm Dopple."
"...What makes you think revenge will give me nothing, then, Dopple? You have no idea why I'm even doing this."
"Sure I do," Dopple intervened. "You were lost and confused in an unfamiliar world, and you were offered what you thought was kindness, but ended up being a poisoned apple. The people you hate tried to make you decide between one evil and another, so you chose neither. Now you've decided that instead of trying to be better than the people you hate, you want to be worse. I think your mind is a little jumbled, Sabre. If you do this, if you become worse than the ones you hate, then you'll only end up hating yourself. Two wrongs don't make a right."
Sabre seemed astonished by this, but his surprise quickly faded to anger. "So you think you know me? So you think it's your place to stop me from giving the justice I deserve?"
"No. I just believe that unchecked anger and desire is the root of all destruction and evil," she replied coolly.
Sabre looked furious. Suddenly, Dopple took quick steps forward, pulling out a stick as she did so. Sabre went flying off into the distance, though just before he did, I saw a look of pure shock.
Dopple sighed. Everything in my vision suddenly blurred except for her, and the sounds of the forest seemed to silence, leaving only her voice. "Not sure how I'll explain this... So I guess I'm taking you somewhere else."
Just before my vision darkened, she began walking towards me, a mushroom in her hand. There was a gentle look in her eyes that confused me.
