(?) ??? POV:

Hovering just outside a colorful house tucked away in the woods near the Yellow Steve village, the low humming sound of a machine could be heard. As the thing that hovered zipped around, it looked at all angles of the house. Getting as close to a window as it'd dare, its lens zoomed in on a Red Steve standing in the living room. It stayed there for a few moments, observing the movements of the other people inside the room, before zipping away from the house at an intense speed.

It was soon at the Yellow Steve village, hovering above the houses and paths. It seemed to be searching for something- or someone- but it was uncertain as to what or who. Its whirring hum was constant as it roamed throughout the empty village, its lens occasionally zooming in as it passed by windows of buildings or other various places where people would commonly be.

Suddenly, a loud, bone-chilling laughter could be heard. The machine seemed to perk up, zipping towards the sound. Its hum seemed to quiet as it approached an area of trees where a lone boulder stood; or, more accurately, the remains of a lone boulder. It went to a place to observe the scene before it without being noticed, tucking itself away as the hum it gave seemed to become silent.

A person- a non-Steve with a blindfold on- was holding a sword at his side. He was the one laughing. Before him, laying on the ground, was a very injured and weary Steve; Twisted-Hypno.

As the lens of the machine zoomed in on the non-Steve, he seemed to notice that he was being watched. He turned his head slightly, clearly looking to his left and right, despite the fact that his eyes were not visible. The machine remained still, as if it were sure that it wouldn't be found.

After a few moments, it seemed the non-Steve had decided that the feeling of being watched had just been in his imagination. He soon faced Twisted-Hypno once more, and he suddenly gave a sickening smile. Twisted-Hypno met his "gaze", his eyes wide with immense pain and terror.

Then, suddenly, quite suddenly, the roar of lightning filled the air. A lone figure, a silhouette, could be seen in its blinding light. The machine seemed to decide that it wanted to observe this scene no longer, and, its hum suddenly sounding, it zipped off. It continued to move quickly, winding its way through trees, until it was no longer in the large forest surrounding the Yellow Steve village. It then approached a cliff, and, following along its wall, stopped where a lone poppy stood beside it.

Suddenly, the wall of the cliff seemed to give a small opening, too small to be a doorway, but just the right size for a smaller animal such as a rabbit or cat. The machine went through this gap, moving forward through a dark tunnel as the opening it had entered through closed behind it.

The machine weaved through the dark tunnels that seemed to be a maze, taking many turns before it reached its destination. The quiet beeping of machinery could be heard as it entered a carpeted room with a long table lined with seven chairs. A soft murmur of voices grew louder as the machine approached an open door.

Entering the room, the machine settled onto a small platform, which immediately hooked onto it. As it powered off, the whirring hum of the machine dulled to silence, leaving the quiet murmurs to be the only sound.

"...So what does this mean, then? Are we still going to follow through with the plan?"

"Yes. In fact, the plan should be much easier now."

"Easier, sir?"

"We've found our new leader."
