She left us to-...?!

(M) Shadow Sabre/Dark Elite POV:

Dopple, from the moment she had finally woken up, had seemed panicked. Even so, it didn't explain why, moments before, without warning, she had bolted past us, gone through the door, and teleported away. What made even less sense was that M didn't want to follow her, and was trying to convince Gänger and I to stay.

"What makes you think you can stop me?" Gänger spoke in a threatening tone, glaring at M.

"Nothing. I-..." He seemed unsure of what the right words were, remaining silent for a few moments, before somewhat mumbling. "...I just have a bad feeling..."

"A 'bad feeling'? And that makes you not want to follow Dopple?!" Gänger retorted, crossing her arms.

M merely nodded, as if afraid more words would provoke Gänger. It was probably for the best, to be honest. Gänger would probably never accept any sort of logic that went against her ideals. Needless to say, she was definitely stubborn.

During the entire conversation, I had been silent, slowly inching my way towards the doorway. While Gänger continued to "bicker" with M (less bickering between the two of them and more Gänger just yelling at him without reason), I took my chance to exit through the front door. Even if they choose to not follow Dopple, there's no way I won't. I agree with M on what he was saying; something about this whole situation gives me a bad feeling...

Once the door was shut quietly behind me, I looked around to figure out where she could have teleported to- and how the heck I was going to follow her. I can't teleport on my own... but I'll have to find a way!

As if answering my question of how I would follow her, my gaze locked onto a small, fenced in patch of mushrooms. On a sign in the middle of the patch, it said, "FOR TELEPORTING ONLY! DO NOT EAT OR COOK!" in large, bold letters. Just underneath those words, though, in small, almost wavy handwriting, was written, "(Please and thank you!)". It was obvious that Gänger had written the sign, and Dopple had added the small part underneath. If that doesn't show how different those two are, then I don't know what does.

Grabbing a mushroom, while silently apologizing, once more, to Dopple, though this time for a different reason, I searched for her teleporting signature. The moment I found it, I gripped the mushroom firmly in my hands, then followed it.

As the lightning around me faded, I saw Dopple. It was only for a brief, surprising moment, however. On the ground before her, I could see a beaten figure. Even from this distance and angle, I could immediately tell who it was. Twisted...

Dopple approached the already limp Twisted with a mushroom in hand, then teleported. The lightning made it impossible to completely focus on her, making her nothing but a lonely silhouette against its blinding light. Soon, Dopple and Twisted were gone, leaving me very, very, confused. Sighing, I followed her signature once more, and found myself in an equally confusing situation. I was in-... a house? Faint sunlite came from the windows behind me- which were, strangely, the only windows in the room, lining the same wall as what I believed to be the front door. In the room was a single cot, on which the unconscious Twisted had already been laid, and Dopple whirled around to face me.

"I-I-... Uhm..." Dopple seemed astonished by my abrupt entrance, her gaze unreadable as it met- or, more accurately, tried to meet- mine.

"...So...Care to explain what the heck is happening here?" I asked her, the atmosphere growing more awkward by the second.

She was silent for a moment as she looked to Twisted, then back to me again. "Giving someone a second chance."
