Everyone Has Fear

We camped a few miles away the mountain to escape the cold with the help of our new wyvern friends who allowed us to ride them down. After we set up camp we all gathered around the camp fire.

"So are you going to start explaining?" Aya asked and Stefan chuckled

"Might as well tell them or you'll be in a world of pain" Stefan said and then he realized his mistake as he paled when Aya and Alea glared at him

"He knew?" Both of them said

"Alright I'm going to start it began when I fell down a cliff to save my mother" I said saving Stefan from Aya and Alea

"I met a dragon at the bottom of the cliff, she treated me like a grandson and treated my wound. She told me of a threat that will one day come to our continent and gave me her essence making me part human and part dragon" I explained and all three of them stayed quiet

"Why are you also reacting?" I asked Stefan

"The threat could it be the other continent?" He asked and it was my turn to be surprised

"You know?" I asked and he nodded

"Alacrya is where the research facility was placed" He explained and I nodded turning back to Aya and Alea pondering if I should tell them about my other secret

"Tell them" Grey said and I mentally glared at him

"The longer you keep them in the dark the worse the backlash" Grey reasoned and I actually thought about it for a moment

"Why are you helping me didn't you just discourage me to having a family a while ago?" I asked him suspicsiously

"I want to see the day you come to me groveling and kneeling asking for my help and saying that I was right. I was right that family makes you weak, loves makes you weak" He answered honestly and I scoffed

"Sorry to tell you but that day would never come" I snarled

"Is that the only secret you kept from us?" They asked and after a while of pondering I shook my head

"Like Stefan I am also a product of an experiment but by a different man" I started and all of their eyes widen

"W..w..what do you mean? You were four when we found you" Alea said her voice trembling

"I am nine physically but I am forty two mentally. The experiment I was in had something to do with reincarnation of a soul" I explained and if possible their eyes widen and their mouth opened wide

"Close your mouths or you'll get flies" I chuckled lightly trying to lighten the mood but I did not expect to get tackled into a hug

I looked down to see Alea and Aya hugging me tightly and some tears on their faces.

"You do not hate me? Do not despise me? Do not disgust me?" I asked weakly

"You fool. We don't care what you are who you are or how old you are. You took us in when we were broken, you gave us a purpose. We vowed to one and another always and forever family above all" Aya said and Alea nodded

"You've given me a little brother I didn't get the chance to raise, you gave me a family I've once lost, you've given me hope and become the light when I was in the dark" Alea said through tears and I hugged both of them back

"Thank you. Thank you for not rejecting me. Thank you for not hating me. Thank you for staying with me" I said between chokes as I cried
