You had been Eddie's boyfriend for little over a year now. You had the same classes and so that led to you naturally spending more time together, especially after he found out you like D&D. You were like his dream girl. You'd struggle through your homework together, you'd watch him play the guitar and then go out and get something to eat (normally milkshakes and fries). And while you were both considered freaks, people could tell that you were a really nice couple.
You were heading out to meet Eddie the morning after the Championship final game. You had wanted to go with Eddie that night to play D&D with the hellfire club however you had promised your friend Crissy that you would give her a lift home after the game.
As you went into the living room to say goodbye to your parents, you noticed something odd on the tv. A news broadcast announcing the death of a student that goes to your school. At a trailer park last night. A trailer park that you recognised. At a specific trailer that you were all but too familiar with.
What on earth had Eddie done now?
Grabbing your keys you rush to your moms car (because you're definitely not rich enough to afford one of your own) and quickly head to the trailer park to check that Eddie was okay. He couldn't have been murdered, could he?
Once you arrived there you were informed by an officer that you weren't allowed into the park. Something about only residents for now. This infuriated you. You needed to know whether or not your boyfriend was okay. Was that so unreasonable?
You state as much to the officer expressing your obvious concern to which informs you he cannot let you in still but he can tell you that the body found was a females. While it didn't negate your concern for the whole murder thing you felt some relief in knowing that your boyfriend probably wasn't the one dead.
The only question was where was he now. Afterall he was probably spooked after having someone murdered in his home. You new your boyfriend well enough to know that he probably hadn't stuck around here, in fact you knew he was probably hiding somewhere in fear of being called a suspect in the case.
There were so many places that he could be hiding but you finally settled on one location. A place you had visited once with your boyfriend when he went to collect some 'supplies' for a night out. A place everyone else only had heard rumours about. Reefer Rick's place.
Turning your car around you speed quickly to the little shack by the lake. It was eerily quiet and the house seemed abandoned. Entirely empty.
The door was opened slightly ajar which immediately set in your panic. you called your boyfriends name over and over again but no luck. He wasn't here. The place was empty. That's when you decide to check the small boat house.
After walking across the grass to reach the building you felt hopeful that you would find your boyfriend, however you were left disappointed. All your hopes scattered as you looked around the open room only to find that your boyfriend was not there and it was instead filled with random junk.
As you stepped further into the room you decide to test the water and call your boyfriends name. He might just be hiding behind something afterall that is what you would do if you were hiding form the police.
Just then a clammy hand clamped around your mouth, a harsh shushing noise filling the room. Panic settled in as you struggled to escape the grasp of your mysterious captor.
"Shush y/n. For god's sake be quiet." Your boyfriend whispers harshly.
Relief filled you a you spun around to see Eddie alive and in one piece. He looked the same as he had when you left him yesterday afternoon except this time the bags under his eyes were more prominent and there was lingering look of horror behind his eyes.
You wasted no time in hugging him, you faced pressed into his chest as his long arms wrapped around your body. You muttered thankfully, expressing your relief for his safety and your happiness for him still being alive. he kept apologising over and over again. Something had happened and he was not okay. You'd never seen him so scared before.
"You're quiet today. What happened?" You say dragging him to sit on the floor next to you.
"It's just it wasn't my fault. One minute she was alive then she was floating and then she was dead. it was just- impossible."
Dead. Flying. What?
"I didn't kill her y/n." He explains again. A look of heartbreak all over his face. He was afraid, like a small child is afraid of the dark and while you didn't understand what was going on or what he saw you knew he was innocent. You knew that now was not the time for questions. and so you hugged him again, stroking his hair as he clung yo you and whispering soft reassurances into his ear.
