Someone requested and Eddie story based on Grease and this was the best I could come up with so enjoy!

Summer had never been your favourite time of year. Sure it was nice to have the long holiday and you didn't mind all the ice-creams or being able to lounge down at the swimming pool. There was just something about it that wasn't as great as the other seasons. Sure enough this summer your parents decided it would be appropriate to pick you up and drag you off to some random town in the middle of nowhere. And all because your dad was offered a new )and better paid job).

While the first few days in your new home seemed to really drag on and you couldn't help but wish to be anywhere else. You're week really took a turn when you met this peculiar man across the street. You'd noticed him a few times since moving in. Him and a few other boys seemed to congregate in the garage across the street. What they ere doing, you could never tell? Nonetheless you were intrigued.

It was a ridiculously warm day and you decided that the only way to cope with such an occasion was to go out and by icecream. Sure enough, when you tried to start your fathers car you were greeted with nothing more than a concerning clunking sound and a huge puff of smoke coming from the front.

As you got out to inspect what had gone wrong, you noticed someone approaching you. The strange boy from across the street was jogging over in your general direction, the unkept mop of hair on his head wafting around behind him. As he got closer to you his jogging slowed to the point where he was stood just beside you.

Awkwardly, the two of you exchanged greeting. Where he informed you that he was called Eddie Munson and that he was rehearsing with his band when he noticed that you were experiencing car difficulties. He then proceeded to stand inspecting the vehicle in that typical pose (hands on hips) as he dramatically sighed.

"I'm not gonna lie to ya, I have no clue about cars." He tells you before offering a lift to wherever you needed to go in his van. While you had been raised to not get into strange vans with men you've just met, you were really desperate for icecream and so accepted his offer.

The whole journey he was loudly talking over the intense music he was blasting about his band and some club he runs, as well as the fact that he can't seem to graduate. Why he was so comfortable sharing his life story, you simply don't know. But the whole journey you only seemed to respond with nods, the ability to talk just seemed to leave you.

The two of you bought two massive tubs of icecream and sat in the back of his van eating the icecream together. You didn't know whether it was the ice cream or you discovering his drug stash, but the two of you were finally managing to converse like two normal humans. You told him about moving town, about you nerves for starting a new school and your concern for your lack of social capability. He talked about space cowboys.

Sure enough this encounter was not the last and the wo of you spent pretty much the whole summer driving all across Hawkins in what Eddie described as his 'magic mystery tour of Hawkins'. He took you everywhere from the mall o some place called skull rock. He even took you too the little lake where he decided to finally give you a kiss.

You found yourself enjoying summer. You were trying things you never dared to try before. You attempted to play this funky little board game called D&D (and failed), you tried to learn guitar, you went skinny dipping. Overall you were having what was quite possibly the best summer you had ever had. And it just was a bonus that you had managed to acquire some sort of romantic relationship along the way.

You actually really liked a lot of things about Eddie. Sure he was a bit odd every now and then but you like that. Nothing was ever too predictable with him and he was also really attractive.

One of your favourite nights had been where you and him were laid in his bed just sat in an almost silence, his mixtape playing quietly in the background. it was warm despite being late so most of your clothes had been long since removed. You were gently tracing Eddies tattoos with your fingertips when he turns to you and says.

"I think you might just be the best thing to happen to this shithole princess."

You laugh assuming its just the weed talking but he continued to insist otherwise.

"No really you are. I reckon your it for me you know."

"Mmh is that so?" you tease a smile stretched wide across your face.

"Yes absolutely." He says confidently, sitting up slightly so he can properly face you.  "You're the one that I want."

"Are you quoting Grease to me." You ask causing him to groan in frustration, covering his face with a pillow as he mutters something about trying to be serious.

"What no! It's like an expression." He tries to defend but you're already laughing.

"Ah sure it is." you tease, moving to give him a gentle kiss before reassuring him that you felt the same way and totally didn't mind if he secretly liked to watch Grease when no one was around.

It was a perfect summer. It really was.

But summer had to eventually draw to a close and soon it was time to go back to school.

And with the end of school you and Eddie had to have a little talk.

When you turned up for school on your first day, things started off pretty well. After getting a little lost, you manged to find your first class and even made a few friends. It wasn't until lunch that things went a bit odd.

A few girls from English invited you to eat lunch with them and considering you had no friends, you decided to not pass up on the opportunity. You talked to the girls about all sorts of nonsense.  They were nice and while you might not have a lot in common you could tell that you would probably be eating lunch with these girls for the foreseeable future.

Your day got even better when you noticed a familiar face popping up in the crowd before sitting that the head of a lunch table filled with rowdy boy.

Excusing yourself, you walked over to Eddie, happy to finally see him at school.

Standing next to his table you beamed down at him, taking in the sight of all the young teenage boys sat around them.

"Hey Eddie, we still on for movie night? I've rented your favourite." You say with a smile. Slowly one by one each boy turns to look at Eddie with a confused 'what the hell is happening' expression. There's a silence that causes you to pause and awkwardly shuffle about. Have you down something wrong?

"Sorry, do I know you?" Eddie says bluntly as he picks at the food infront of him. You immediately felt embarrassed and apologised before rushing straight out of the cafeteria and into the corridor.

How very odd indeed?

You were more than familiar with Eddie so why was he pretending not to know you.

This whole summer he had made it seem like you were the one he wanted.

He explicitly said that several times to you.

Deciding to not let it get the better of you, you determinedly re-enter the cafeteria and join your new found friends in a touch of conversation. If Eddie thinks he can just ignore you then he's got another thing coming.

Because believe you and me, this unusual feeling you had right now was enough to make you never want to talk to that man ever again.
