At around 2am you were rudely awakened by the sound of repeated tapping against you window. Now, you would normally would ignore this but given that this is Hawkins and scary shit happens here, you figured it was best to check it out. Getting up and peeking through the curtains, you see Eddie Munson stood in the front garden, dressed all in black like some sort of cartoon robber.

Opening the window you lean out and whisper yell 'go away'. Scared that your parents or one of your nosey neighbours would hear the noise and see him here. You had been dating Eddie for around a month or so and still hadn't gotten around to telling them about your secret boyfriend. It wasn't that you were ashamed of Eddie or anything because he was better than any of the rich assholes your parents force you to associate with. It's just your parents can be quite judgey and you were scared that if they found out about your relationship then they'd make it difficult for you to be with him.

"y/n come down!" He whisper yells to which you tell him to go away again.

"Please don't make me climb up there princess, because I'll probably fall, break my neck and I'm way to busy to be hospitalized right now."

"Well if you're so busy leave."

But you were curious to what he meant and why was here. With a sigh you smooth you unkept hair and pull on a bathrobe so that you could preserve at least a little bit of your modesty. Besides, who knows what he's do if you didn't go down to him. You wouldn't put it past Eddie to actually try and climb into your house.

By the time you got outside, Eddie was sat casually lounging infront of his van, cigarette loosely hanging from between his lips. "I thought you'd never show." He says.

"Why are you here.?" You ask, sitting beside him on your parents driveway.

"Were you awake?"

"No, you woke me up."

"Sorry but I did what I had to do, now let's go."

"What? No let's not go. Eddie I can't just leave in the middle of the night my parents will kill me."

He stands, sauntering over to his van, flicking the cigarette to the ground before stamping it out, Greece style. He turns back to you, loudly saying, "Come on princess."

"I can't just take off Eddie and besides I'm not even dressed."

"You look hot in the bathrobe." He says with a smirk his eyes visibly checking you out or really examining how little clothing your actually wearing.

"Eddie."

"Fine. Go inside and garb a jacket and some shoes. But don't change into any clothes because we're running on a tight schedule l/n and we're already running late." He says climbing into his car, "I'll give you three minutes before I go in there and drag you out myself."

Five minutes later we're speeding down through downtown Hawkins. We're the only car on the road, the only evidence of life around. It's like a ghost town here most nights, ever since the star court mall opened a few weeks ago. I remember last summer when this place was bursting full of people now there's no reason to come here unless you're going to the local bakery.

Eddie pulls up in front of a dark storefront announcing that 'we're here'.  And when you try and ask where here is he simply says 'you'll see."

He walks in front of one the shops, the paint is peeling from around the crusty door as he jams a key into its lock.

"Eddie how do you have a key to this place?"

"A guy I sell pot too stays works here, he leant the key to me for a special discount." He explains with a wink as the door finally screeches open.

The store is dark and narrow with walls full of books and the odd table and chair scattered about. Closing the door behind us, Eddie turns on his flashlight and wanders off to the counter in the corner, ducking behind it to produce two bottle of water.

"Eddie why are we at a bookstore?" You ask as he begins to examine some of the books on the shelf.

"You said you liked to read." He explains, dragging his ring-clad finger along the book spines as though he was searching for a book. "We're here to read."

He grabs one of the books, turning to you and gesturing for you to follow. the two of you walk over to the kids section where you collapse onto the floor surrounded by cushions and various stuffed animals.

"This is your favourite book right. I've seen you read it in the cafeteria quite a bit?" He says, passing# the book to you. It was the Princess Bride and he was right, you did read it quite often. Though the fact he knew that made you blush.

"Can you read it for me?" He asks, his eyes wide and pleading, like a small child wanting to get his way.

"You brought me out to this shop so I could read to you? You do realise we could've done this in my home, in daylight, without breaking and entering."

"Please princess."

With a sigh you read your favourite passage from the book to him. A few minutes into reading you could tell his focus was wandering and that he wasn't really paying attention to the words that were leaving your lips. In fact you could tell that his attention was solely fixated on how you mouth moved.

Halfway through your sentence, he kisses you. Straight up kisses you out of nowhere.

Not a peck. Not a lingering caress of your lips. Its a full on tongue-tangling kiss and it makes your heart pound just that much harder in your chest. You can't help but lose yourself in it. In him and the way the skilful stroke of his tongue and warmth of his hand as it wraps around the back of your head to pull you even closer to him.

All you can smell him, the faint smell of smoke but a sort of comforting warm smell too. And while you couldn't really see him from the darkness you could certainly feel him against you.

You wrap your arms around his neck as he lowers you down further onto the floor, one muscular thigh resting between your legs sending an unexpected shot of pleasure right through you.

He kisses you like he can't get enough, all tongue and teeth, sucking on your lips, hands groping everything he can get your hands on. He kisses travel down your jaw to your neck and it wasn't until now that you realised just how many nerves you hand in your neck because it felt like it was on fire.

Then he stops.

All of a sudden he stops kissing and pulls away causing you to let out an unexpected whine. He smirks at you before picking up the book and continuing to read from you had left.

It was admittedly weird that he dragged you out to some random bookstore at the dead of night, demand you read a book to him only to not pay attention and start kissing you instead then stops right as it was getting good and reads himself. But then again Eddie Munson was quite weird.

He was  a surprisingly good reader and the fact that he was reading your favourite book to you made your heart swoon, even if you were pissed off at him for getting you all hot and bothered and not acting on it.

And as he read, you couldn't help but feel like you were falling in love with him all at once.
