What Happens After Vol 2 with Eddie

This  has spoilers for vol 2.

It's based around what would happen if Eddie hadn't been killed and you and Dustin had managed to get him to a hospital.

- Pretty much every night you fall asleep beside his hospital bed. The only time you really leave his side is either when you really need to pee or when someone physically removes you. The last thing you want is to miss him waking up from his coma.

- You tell him stories during the day. It could be something random like a bit of gossip about the kids or it could be a made up story like the ones he would use for his campaigns.

- You hold his hand a lot when you're with him. It's more to comfort you than anything but you also want for him to know that someone's always with him, even when you stop talking.

- When he does eventually wake up, you're the one who has to explain what happened to him. You tell him all about how the others are and what happened to Vecna and whether or not the plan worked.

     - He especially loves the part where you brag about how awesome his 'concert' was.

- He always wants you there with him when the doctors try to explain things to him. You just sit there next to him on his bed, holding his hand reassuringly. 

- He hates the hospital food so you have to start sneaking in burgers and KFC for him to eat. 

     - "Eddie we're going to get caught."

     - "It's fine what's the worst that could happen? You'll get told off?"

     - "Well that nurse of yours does seem quite scary."

- But then you decide to start cooking things at home and bringing them in for him after realising eating burgers three times a day while in recovery is probably not the best idea.

     - "You promise there's no mushrooms in this. You know I hate the mushrooms."

     - "I promise."

     - "Being healthy sucks."

     - "Serves you right for being attacked by bats."

- Whenever Dustin comes to visit you always leave them to it and just watch from afar. You find it funny how they'll sit and talk for hours about d&d and how everyone in hellfire is doing.

- When he finally gets released from hospital. you're the one who takes him home because he doesn't trust anyone else to do it.

- Eddie does not how to take things easy. Even when the doctors tells him that he needs bed rest he will still try and do things.

     - "It'll only be for an hour princess, I'll be fine."

     - "Okay but I won't be the one driving you to the hospital when your stiches burst open and you start bleeding to death."

- He has really, really bad nightmares because of everything and cannot sleep alone because of them. Even when he's just napping the, you need to be by his side. 

     - This is also really handy because if he does wake up because of a nightmare, you're already there to help calm him down. Normally you'll just start rambling about random nonsense and that tends to distract him pretty well.

- With Hopper being back, he takes over the murder cases and makes a public statement telling everyone that Eddie's innocent. 

     - "Looks like I'll be able to graduate after all then."

     -"And I look forward to being able to see it."

- Him and his uncle become closer than they were before. It took losing Eddie for him to realise just how important having him around was. 

- He has these massive scars from where he got bit and he hates them.

     - "I just look like even more of a freak now."

     - "They look good Eddie, very metal and all that."

     - "You think so?"

- You're the one who has to remind Eddie to take his meds but you have to have to get Dustin to remind you to remind Eddie. 

     -"y/n it's 12.30."

     -"What the hell happens at 12.30 - Oh shit! Eddie you need to take your meds."

     - "Oh shit yeah forgot about that."

- Whenever someone tries to bring up the whole murder thing when you're out with Eddie, you absolutely rip into them. Most of the time Eddie just lets you do it too because he thinks you look extra hot when you're angry.

- He's always telling you how amazing you are or how much he loves you because he's scared that he'll just drop dead any minute.
