My oh, my how the plot has unfolded.

After hearing about the whole murder thing in Eddie's trailer you knew that he was innocent, it was like your psychic third eye was telling you the future or some shit. I mean of course you couldn't deny that there was a murder and things did look pretty bad for Eddie but when one Dustin Henderson informed you via walkie talkie that the murder was actually the work of some bloke called Vecna. My was your mind blown.

In all honesty, you were upset you hadn't put the pieces together yourself, after all this was Hawkins and the Upside Down did still enjoy wreaking havoc upon your life.

Now while you were glad to hear that Eddie was in fact innocent and you hadn't just been completely oblivious to your boyfriend being a weird serial killer guy (Because yes they had found second body just to make things worst), it didn't eliminate the fact that he was still on the run. The oblivious idiots who run the Hawkins Sherriff department were blissfully unaware of the horrors that lurked within Hawkins and so their only natural explanation for the dead people was to blame the freak 20 year-old high schooler.

Dustin and Co. were currently trying to deduce your boyfriends whereabouts using the magic of the telephone however you had other ideas. While you could go and help them in the search for Eddie and probably find him a lot quicker, you kinda wanted to find him on your own first just so that you could be there to comfort Eddie before he inevitably finds out about the craziness of this town. Afterall he just saw a girl get murdered in a probably horrifically scarring brutal way and so could use some personal love.

Your tactics for finding Eddie were much less efficient and smart than Dustin's plan in that your idea of finding Eddie consisted of you cycling (because you suck at driving and have happened to fail your test 5 times but that's okay) at an above average speed around town to all of Eddie's favourite spots.

So far you'd been to the woods (specifically where the two of you would go for dates), that dodgy looking music shop, the garage where his band plays, the school and Mike Wheelers basement because for some reason everyone likes to hide there (and yes all of these did require some entering and breaking but we can just ignore that).

The next location of your metaphorical list was a place known as Reefer Ricks. Now to most this place was some sort of myth and most didn't know the location but Eddie had taken you there once on your way back from school so he could pick up some drugs for both recreational use and for selling.

Speeding away on your too small, purple bike you finally reach the small house (well to be fair it was more of a shack) by the lake/pond/river (I don't know the difference because I'm stupid). Now using your intuition you deduced that the likely of him staying in the main body of the house was slim because that as too obvious and Eddie sucks at picking locks. However, the small shed-like thingy seemed more promising so you decide to head there instead.

Slowly pushing open the rickety metal door in order to make a stealthy entrance, you entered what looked like a cross between an old man's garage and a teenage boys bedroom, and any hopes for stealth were diminished as the door was not silent and in fact made a screech so loud it resembled the noise you made when you found out there would be no top gun 2.

To the untrained eye the room appeared empty however you knew how crafty Eddie could be, after all you had lost several rounds of hide and seek to the pesky little shit. As you searched under tables and behind bottles you were greeted to a harsh hand clamping over your mouth. Turns out you were so focused on being quiet that you didn't hear the sound of tarp moving or footsteps approaching you.

Now your first instinct was to elbow the attacker straight up in the ribs, Karate Kid style. However, after doing so you realise that the harsh feeling was probably metal and what is made of metal? Rings. Who wears rings? Eddie and Eddie is who you are looking for (the high-pitched squeal the attacker makes was also a massive hint). Spinning around you finally see him. Eddie fucking Munson.

Now if you had thought he looked like shit last night, well he looked a whole lot worse right now. Clearly the fear and stress of the last 24 hours were having a serious toll on the poor guy because he looked beyond paranoid. Like he looked like the crazy guy in one of those end of the world movies who are all like 'the aliens are coming' but no on believes them. He still looked hot though, so there's that.

Admittedly the sight of your boyfriend being so strange did strike a cord in your cold, twisted heart and so within no time you found your arms wrapped around his fragile little body.

The guy lost it, completely broke down in tears, his body shaking through the sheer power of his sobs. It was heart-breaking, simply heart-breaking. He kept muttering over and over how he didn't do it and it wasn't his fault and all you could do was tell that you knew and that he was safe.

The two of collapsed in a heap on the ground as you cradled Eddies head into your chest. You could see the fear, the trauma in his beautiful brown eyes and in all honesty the very sight made you want to cry. Nobody wants to see someone they love upset and its even worse when its because they're being accused of murder.

Stoking his hair you press a soft kiss to his temple, once again reassuring him as he attempts to explain what had happened to poor Chrissy Cunningham. You knew you couldn't do much so you just sort of continued to hold him and let him get out what was clearly a lot of pent up emotion.

After the crying died down and the two of you had been sat in silence for awhile, Eddie finally moved from you. Gently, as though scared you would run away, he pressed his lips to yours. It was a kiss full of emotion, both of your fears channelling through it as well as your relief to be with each other again.

"I'm sorry for leaving I know I should have prob-" He begins to say before you cut  him off with another short peck.

"Don't you dare apologise Eddie. You did what you had to do. All that matters is that we're here now and we can come up with a plan."

"A plan? y/n they think I've killed someone."

"Then we'll go on the run." You say, "Go full on Thelma and Louise and just take off."

"You sure?"

"Yeah this place is a tad bit too crazy anyway." You say, taking his hands in yours and giving them a reassuring squeeze. "So what do ya think? You wanna take off?"

"Well, that depends? Am I Thelma or Louise in this situation?" He asks that familiar grin that you just love. In all honesty, despite the while situation, finding out that Eddie remembered Thelma and Louise (after you forced him to watch it with you) was one of the most shocking bits of information you'd heard all day. Especially considering that he typically zones out when you force him to watch 'crappy' movies with you.

"I won't lie to you Eds but you're totally Thelma. I can 100% see you falling for Brad Pitt in a heartbeat."

"That's very true princess but who could blame me, he's so hot as JD."

And so that as that. The last night of your old lives begin. Without a single care in the world, the two of you prepared both mentally and physically to head off into the wilderness to start new lives. Both of you praying that the cops don't try and follow you because you sure as hell don't feel like driving off a cliff anytime soon.
