CHAPTER FOURTEEN

CHAPTER FOURTEEN:

"You look beautiful now Lila. You always are." He says, and I feel closer to Gerard's face than I ever have been. I suddenly am very aware, and I feel my heart race....

"Lila I know this sounds dumb, but I am still rooting for you guys." He rests his forehead on mine. I sigh when I realize he wasn't trying to kiss me. I don't know why I was feeling so on edge. Gerard is like my brother. I shouldn't be worried about things like that. I guess after the whole Rob thing I've been a bit paranoid of everything.

"I don't know anymore." I feel so broken.

"I know it hurts, but it'll get better. Just hang in tight. Mikey and I will always have your back. You're my little sis." Gerard then pulls away. I strangely feel more calm and relaxed.

"Thank you so much. You mean a lot to me." I say.

"You mean a lot to me too."

"I'll be fine. I just need time away from him."

"I agree." Gerard and I then choose to watch a movie, and just relax.

FRANK'S POV

The whole night with Dani I kept thinking about Lila, and her face when I told her. I feel like shit. I am such an asshole. She deserves someone better. That's what I decided when I asked Dani out.

I'm just not enough for her. Yeah.

"I really had fun tonight." Dani says sweetly as I walk her to her door. She has a small smile on her face. I smile back.

"Me too." I say. Before I knew it she leans in, and kisses me. I didn't expect that.

I quickly leave, and get to my car.

I couldn't help but think how it was nothing like kissing Lila.

What have I gotten myself into?

LILA'S POV

A week has gone by, and now Frank has begun dating that girl. Dani is her name. She's really nice, but it's still hard to be around them.

Frank barely looks me in the eye.

I'm in the library studying when someone joins my table.

"Can I sit here?" I look to see a boy with dyed red hair, bright green eyes, and a nose ring. He was quite attractive. I almost forgot to respond.

"Yes...yes of course." I stutter out. He grins at me. All of a sudden Kara and Dom are walking up to me.

"Lila." Kara whispers.

"Yes?" I look at her. She then notices the boy.

"Oh hey Lucas." She smiles over at the boy.

"Ah sitting with Lucas," Dom whispers lowly in my ear. I shove him. I give him a warning look as I blush slightly.

"You're going to a party tonight....with us." Kara informs me. She doesn't notice Dom and I's interaction. She then looks over at Lucas.

"You're going to Sam's party too, right?" She asks.

"Yeah. I am going after 9." Lucas says with a smile.

"Coolio. Now you guys leave, and let me study!" I tell them loudly enough to not get kicked out.

Kara and Dom leave.

Then silence as I study. Not too long after Lucas gets up.

"So I guess I'll see you later." He says nervously. I smile at him.
