Academic pressure.

Some of us know the feeling of it far too well. The sequence of being recognised as the 'gifted' and 'intelligent' kid, then hitting the middle of high school and having all that speciality about you fade.

It wasn't even all worth it anyway.

As soon as your teachers find out you're a bright kid, they tell your parents,

and fuck does it make it all turn into a shitshow.

Extra studying, extra classes, all at the age of 8. And it fucked me up forever. I never got the chance to go out with friends, possibly find love, have my heartbroken, all the things most people experience in their youth, but I didn't.

Note this to yourself, whoever's reading; avoid all of this. It isn't worth it.

You could very easily turn into me. a university dropout that's a disappointment to their parents, who was once the most perfect son a family could ask for.
