“IT WAS JUST A DREAM,” Jaxon assured, "nothing more. Don't worry about it."
"Okay," she mumbled, not completely believing him but she let it go as something else caught her attention. Lizzie and Josie's argument. She flickered her eyes to them, "what are they fighting about?"
"Just some stupid stuff," Jaxon brushed her off. Hope looked at him, "you can hear them. Tell me."
Sighing, Jaxon began listening in.
"Do you know how good it would feel to actually be competing? In Mom's dress?" Josie asked Lizzie, "did you even consider how Hope would feel wearing it?"
"She looks fantastic," Lizzie responded, "she should feel amazing."
"Will she still feel amazing when she learns where it came from?" Josie questioned as Jaxon looked at Hope, "some shitty argument about the dress you're wearing."
"What about it?" Hope asked as Jaxon continued to listen in just as Lizzie asked, "what do you mean, where it came from? It was a gift from some guy who used to crush on Mom,"
Josie sighed, "Klaus Mikaelson, Lizzie. Hope's dad." And then she walked away.
"Tell me," Hope demanded when she noticed the look on Jaxon's face. Sighing he said, "your father gave it to her."
"My dad chose this dress?" She asked earning a nod from him, "yeah, apparently." Noticing how pale she became, he frowned, "are you okay?"
Tears began filling her eyes and her grip tightened on his arm. "Do you wanna leave?"
She shook her head, her voice shaking as she replied, "just a few more seconds. It's going to be over soon."
"May I have your attention, please?" Vera's voice echoed in the entire room, "without further ado, it is my honor to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls. From the Salvatore School—" everyone held their breaths in anticipation, "—Miss Hope Mikaelson."
And just like that, everyone's attention were on her, as well as the lights. She was standing there, tears falling from her eyes and yet everyone were clapping. The chandelier above them began shaking making Jaxon try to stop it using his own powers.
He then stepped forward and pulled her into his arms, not giving a damn about the eyes on them, "congratulations," he whispered as she wrapped her hands around him, "it's going to be all right." She began letting out small sobs right there with her head buried in his chest, "I can't—"
"—you won this for your dad," he cut her off, "you did great. He's really fucking proud of you right now, he always is." She hugged him tighter as she continued to cry, neither of them caring about the several pairs of eyes on them.

Jaxon found himself sitting on the edge of Hope's bed as he waited for her to finish showering. After what felt like hours— but had only been ten minutes, she finally walked out of the bathroom, wearing a black shirt that reached down until just above her knees.
"Is that my shirt?" Jaxon asked, looking at the familiar shirt. She nodded, "yes— well, It's... comfortable so I— I kept it."
"Did you now?" He questioned, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards him so that she was straddling his lap. She brought her hands to his hair and began running her fingers through, "you didn't tell me what happened with the whole statue thing."
"It has been dealt with," he reassured, bringing his face closer to hers as he trailed his lips on her neck making her tilt her head to the side, giving him more access. She hummed when he placed a kiss on her spot which he clearly remembered.
"No, wait." Hope stopped him making him pull back instantly with a questioning look on his face, "what's wrong?"
"I know you're hiding something from me," she said, "so, please tell me— I feel like you're not being honest. What are you hiding?
"I—" He paused, staring at her right into her eyes, "—Fuck, fine. There's this piece of information that I found out days earlier..."
"About Malivore?"
He nodded, confirming it, "about Malivore."
"What about it?"
Taking a deep breath, he said, "my dad knows how to close it. He won't tell me." He lied, hoping it was good enough for her to believe.
"What?" Her eyes widened slightly and her lips parted in shock, "why not?"
"I don't know," he responded, "anyway, that's all I found out, really."
"You could've told me about it," she continued running her fingers through his hair, knowing that he liked it when she'd do that, "why didn't you tell me?"
"I don't know," he replied, closing his eyes at the feeling of her fingers playing with his soft black hair, "what exactly did you see in that dream of yours?"
"I saw you," she answered, "you walked right into the pit and— and the whole thing turned red before it caught some sort of bright red fire and then it all disappeared."
"What?"
"It's like you destroyed it—" she looked at him, "—it disappeared but you disappeared along with it."
