We continued to hang out. Sometimes, he'd ask at random where I was or if I had plans, then we'd usually just hang out. Minsan naman, I'd also ask where he was when he posts on instagram story and if I was up for some random hangout or I wanted to get out of my unit. Most of the time, we were just at cafes doing school work. Pareho ata kami na sawa na sa loob ng condo units namin and would prefer to hang out at a café to finish our requirements.
Although from time to time, we would also go have lunch or dinner at some really good restaurants. He actually already tried some of the places we went to but he said he didn't mind because they change the menu depends on the season or what produce is available. The dishes and coursed menus we had tried always just have us wanting for more. I couldn't really pick a favorite from the restaurants we've tried so far.
"Hey. Good morning." I greeted him monotonously and sat on the seat across him.
"You don't sound so cheery. Rough week?" he asked.
"Pretty much. We had so many deadlines the past week. I think I barely got enough sleep. You, on the other hand, sound so well rested."
"We didn't have a lot of presentations this week." He smiled. "Let's get some orange juice in your system so you can perk up." He proceeded to call the server and ordered for us.
I shook my head and laughed a little.
"Why?" He raised his brow and grinned.
"It's funny how you now know that coffee won't do it for me but orange juice will."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I guess I learn? I remember ordering coffee one time and you ordered orange juice right after and didn't even bother drinking the coffee I ordered." He laughed hilariously.
"Are you still not over that?" I chuckled and teased him.
He waved his hand. "Psssh. All the better for me. I got to drink two coffees that day and didn't get to sleep until 3 AM," he playfully said with sarcasm evident in his tone.
I chuckled then stood up to see what pastries and sandwiches were on display for the daily offering. This was one of the cafes we frequent so I wanted something different to eat since we always order from the menu.
They had the usual stuff - croissants, cinnamon buns, banana bread, muffins, sausage roll, but I noticed the cheese and bacon tart and a yummy looking danish which had roast beef in it.
"The cheese and bacon tart is really good. It's one of their best sellers and it runs out fast." I heard someone said.
I looked up and saw a tall pleasant guy looking at me.
"Thanks for the tip," I said and just smiled.
"Lawrence." He extended his hand.
I shook his hand.
"No name?" he asked.
I shook my head and smiled. "No, sorry. But thanks again for the tip."
I went back to our table and my drink was already there. I took a sip and was about to call the server to order food.
"The guy's interested, huh?" he asked looking amused almost teasing me.
I raised a brow at him. "What do you mean?"
"That guy from the line." He pointed to the direction of the counter with his lips.
I laughed. "Didn't think you were chismoso ha," I joked.
"It's not chismis if it's true," he countered and chuckled.
"He just told me that the cheese and bacon tart is one of the best sellers. Then introduced himself and asked if I wasn't going to give him my name when I just thanked him for the tip." I laughed after detailing the encounter.
