I headed straight to my condo from the airport. Buti nalang mom made sure it was cleaned every week even when I was away so it was in pristine condition when I arrived. I would have wanted to have my dogs welcoming me here but since I came home unplanned, my dogs were still with mom.

I sat on the sofa and closed my eyes. The flight was quite tiring. Mediyo nadelay 'yun flight so I got here in Manila late already. Then Friday traffic pa.

I took out my Manila phone from my bag. It started beeping and notifications came in after I turned off airplane mode.

Clara:

Kams, can you please check this if it's available there?

Mom:

We've reserved next Sunday at your favorite restaurant for welcome home lunch.

Miss you, my darling. See you soon.

Dad:

We've dinner next Sunday, okay? :) See you.

I love you, my baby.

I called mom and dad to let them know that I was already back. I was really going to inform them naman once I was settled here sa condo because I always make it a point to tell them everything. They'd given me so much freedom ever since I turned 18 and their only ask was to keep them informed of my whereabouts.

Clara:

Sorry, C! Won't be able to check na. Here in Manila already.

I got my hand carry luggage and went to my room. Bukas nalang ako mag-uunpack because I didn't really have the energy to do it. I placed my phone on top of my vanity table and took out my skin care and toiletries. I opened my closet and picked a shorts pajama set.

I stepped out of the shower and just wrapped my hair with a towel when the doorbell kept ringing. I creased my forehead. I quickly finished drying myself and put on my clothes.

"Why are you here? Diba next week pa 'yun flight mo?" Clara asked with a brow raised at me.

My mouth fell open a bit. "You went here just to ask me that?" I closed the door. "Sana you called me nalang. Late na." I shrugged at her.

She squinted her eyes and nodded at me.

"I wanted to go back na." I reasoned out and went to the kitchen. I made myself a cup of tea. "Want anything?"

"No, I'm good." She seated herself on the sofa and stared at me. "Kams, are you okay?"

I froze a bit but quickly continued stirring my cup and put a bit more honey. "Oo naman. I'm okay." I faked a smile.

"Cut through the bullshit na, Kams. That's probably going to work for other people but not with me. I can see right through you."

"What do you want to hear, Clara?" I snapped a bit.

She smirked at me.

"Fine!" I rolled my eyes at her and sat beside her on the couch.

Clara slept here since we were talking until the wee hours of the morning. She was still sleeping peacefully when I woke up. It was still early and weekend naman so I just left her so she could get more sleep.

I headed to the balcony and sat on the single sofa chair to stare at the view from there. The sun was already enveloping the sky with its brightness. The air was cool and breezy and I felt the wind on my skin. The trees surrounding the pool area were dancing and swaying. There were kids playing by the pool. I smiled to myself and sipped from my cup.
