Chapter 24

Clara:

We'll see you in Maldives!

Maddie:

Yeah. See you in few days, Kams!

I chuckled when I saw their messages while I was on the way to the airport. All this time, I thought we were going to Maldives together but they booked my flight and villa ahead pala so I could have a longer vacation. Maddie volunteered kasi to do everything for the trip. They just sent me my ticket and the reservation to the resort.

Kayla:

See you both in a few days! :) And thank you for my birthday trip.

Clara:

Of course! :)

Maddie:

You're welcome, Kams! :)

The flight to Maldives had a stopover at Singapore for a few hours. When we landed, I went around the shops for a bit but I didn't really have anything to buy. Pagbalik din naman may stop over here so I'd buy pasalubong pagbalik na. When I got bored from looking around, I went to the boarding gate 'cause our flight schedule was already near anyway.

Maddie:

Are you already on the way to Maldives?

Kayla:

No. Still in Singapore. Delayed flight :(

Clara:

Yikes! How long?

Kayla:

Don't know. It's been almost an hour.

Clara:

Paano 'yun seaplane mo going to the resort?

Kayla:

I emailed them about the delayed flight and they acknowledged so I hope the seaplane's waiting for me when I get there.

Clara:

Okay! Update us when you get there :) Ingat, Kams!

After more than four hours, we were already leaving Singapore. It was a little disappointing since I wouldn't get to do anything when I get to Maldives 'cause it would be late na but buti nalang talaga matagal 'yun stay ko so I still had time to enjoy the island.

"Welcome to Maldives!" the staff greeted me at the arrival hall.

They ushered me to a van and transferred to the seaplane terminal where we only waited quickly at the lounge before we heading to the resort. When we got to the resort, I was escorted around to explore for a bit. I was blown away by the beauty of the greenery and the turquoise blue waters. The sky was almost a fiery red and orange already which covered the entire place with its beauty. Clara and Maddie did a really good job picking our resort for this trip.

"What are you doing here?" I furrowed my brows while approaching my villa.

"Kayla..." he called. His hands were inside his pockets. "Please don't leave." His eyes looked at me almost misty. "You know I don't chase anyone, but you, I'd chase you over and over... even if it means flying half-way across the world."

"Xavi," I looked at him and gently biting my lower lip. "What if I can't love you the same way that you love me? I'm not sure I could give you the love you deserve."

He shook his head. "It doesn't matter. You can love me in whatever capacity you can, Kayla. It won't matter to me. Just let me love you and stay with you. Let me treat you and love you the way you should have always been loved and cherished."
