I smiled as Jules ran up to me and hugged me. We shared a kiss before heading into her house. Ever since Bella came back with her leech she had stopped coming to the rez and hanging out with Jake. He was trying to move on from her and started to see one of Jules' friends. She was nice but she couldn't be around the pack as much as she wanted as she wasn't his imprint and she didn't know what we were. Jake understood that and kept his mouth shut about us this time around. Which made us all happy. One that he was moving on and two that he didn't share what we were.
The red head hadn't been around as much and with the Cullen's back we only had to worry about our land. Quil got pissed enough that he shifted and was now a part of the pack. Jules and I have gotten closer as have Rachell and Paul; everything seemed quiet until yesterday when Jake was told that Bella had left town and Edward had gone with her. We all knew what he was thinking. Jules rolled her eyes at him.
"Dude... Will you stop? Not everything needs to be about her!" I said with annoyance to my tone. I was still pissed at him for what he had done to me and Jules. He looked at me shocked as Quil shook his head at him.
"Told you he would act this way again." Quil said as I glared at Jake.
"Act like what? What am I acting like?" Jake asked as he looked at Quil and I, confused.
"Like your head is still up Bella's ass!" Jules said as she entered the room. I smiled at my imprint. She came and sat with me as we were going to watch a movie since we had the day off together. She handed me the popcorn bowl.
"I am not acting like that!" Jake said as he looked at us annoyed. Jules looked at me and sighed.
"OH! OK!" Jules said as I wrapped my arm around her. "Then why do you care what is going on with her?" She asked as I looked to Jake for his answer.
"Yeah man... Thought you were moving on?" Quil asked as Jake looked at all of us annoyed. "I mean you have been hanging out with Layla and hooking up with her. So why do you care about Bella?" He said as Jules looked at Jake pissed.
"You've been what?" Jules yelled as she slowly got up from her set next to me. Jake looked at her scared. "You have been using my friend as your Bella backup?" She asked as her body started to shake.
"Babe calm down!" I said as I went to grab her hand. But she pulled it away from me. I sighed as I knew this was going to end badly.
"It wasn't like that." Jake said as he glared at Jules. She scoffed at him.
"You hurt her then I hurt you! She isn't a toy you can just play with." Jules yelled at him.
"I know she isn't." Jake said as he looked a little hurt at Jules. "I'm not..." He started to say but looked at Jules hurt.
"You're not Bella. Say it Jake." Jules yelled, making their father come out from his room. He looked between his children and then sighed.
"Jules..." Billy said as she growled at Jake. Jake looked at her scared.
"I am not Bella, I don't use people like she did." Jake finally said. Shocking everyone in the room.
"That is good to hear." Rachel said as she walked into the living room. Paul followed right behind her. "Cause if you were it would not only be Jules you would have to face. I would gladly kick your ass for hurting that sweet girl." She said, making Jules smirk at Jake. Jake looked annoyed at his sisters.
"Embry, Quil... Sam wants us at the pack house." Paul said before kissing Rachel's head. I stood up and sighed before kissing Jules' head. Quil smiled as he knew that we were going on patrol and that something was going on.
"I'll see you later!" I said before kissing Jules' lips. She nodded her head at me. I knew she was still pissed and needed time to calm down. Quil and I walked out behind Paul. I wanted to ask what was going on but Paul put his finger to his lips. When we got about half way to Sam and Emily's place Paul turned and looked at us.
"The leeches are not far from the treaty line. They are just standing there. Like they are waiting for something." He said as I was confused. What could they be waiting for? I wondered.
"So are we going to be keeping watch over them or something?" Quil asked as I looked at Paul.
"Something like that." He said as we continued to walk to the pack house.
"Why didn't you say anything in front of Jules and Jake?" I asked, already knowing the answer to that question. But I still wanted to know.
"You know damn well why I didn't say anything in front of them. Jake would have taken any chance to see if Bella was now a leech and Jules is on edge as it is with the leeches being back." Paul said and I nodded my head.
"Why?" Quil asked as Paul sighed.
"Jules is special; she is the only second Luna the tribe has had. And to tell you the truth we don't know much about the first Luna. So we don't know all that Jules can do." Paul said as I sighed.
"She had been talking more in her sleep." I said, making Paul stop and look at me.
"Why haven't you said anything about this?" He asked as I shrugged my shoulders at him.
"I don't understand what she is saying. And it's not like She says everything out loud. It normally is a word here and there." I said as Paul shook his head at me.
"You still should have told us." Paul said as he continued to walk.
