I shook my head as I sat with Jules on her bed. It was so quiet at her grandmother's place. I watched as she teared up as she read the letters from her mom. It broke my heart to see her in so much pain. 'You know you don't have to go to this meeting." I said as I wiped away her tears.
"No, I do!" She said as she closed the book. "I'm the Luna." She said and I smiled at her.
"Yes you are. But you are also my imprint. And one day we will have peace and I don't want you to be broken. Lately you have been taking everything head on. And it has been affecting us!" I said and she sighed.
"I know! I just want our happy ending. But we will never get that as long as there are vampires around. I guess if I pushed hard enough and often enough then they would get the hint that they aren't welcome here any more." She said and I shook my head at her.
"Well, it isn't just you against them. We are all against them. It's not just your battle. Never was!" I said and she nodded her head at me. "I think we need a date night! Just you and me!" I said and she nodded her head.
"I would really like that!" She said as she cuddled into me. I chuckled as I had missed this. But like always our moment was interrupted.
"Sorry, But it is time!" Paul said as he stuck his head into the room. We both nodded our heads at him. As we were walking out of the house 'Grandma' stopped Jules. She waved us on and we went as she was still one of our lunas. "What do you think that was about?" Paul asked and I shrugged my shoulders. I wasn't sure but I had a feeling it had something to do with what I had said to her earlier.
Jules came out just two minutes later smiling. She slapped Paul's back and kissed my cheek. "So?" I asked as she just smiled at me.
"Later!" She said as we met up with Jared and Quil.
"Do you all think this will end in a fight?" Quil asked and we shook our heads at me.
"Naw! Doctor Vamp doesn't want that. And if it did I am sure it would only be Bella and her leech." Paul said as Jules, Jared and I agreed with him. When we finally met up with the rest of the pack it was like everyone was on edge. Sam looked at Jules and smiled at her.
"Are we all ready?" Sam asked and everyone nodded their heads. "Now no one is to react to anything Bella or Edward say. The good doctor called and said that they are only there to witness. As they are leaving as soon as the house sells." He told us and this made many members cheer. Jake being one of them.
"Where are we meeting them?" Quil asked as he looked from Jules to Sam.
"Where the newborn battle took place." He said and I nodded my head. "Let's head out!" Sam yelled as we all took off into the woods to change. I pulled Jules with me as I didn't want any of them to see her naked. I blocked her as she undressed and shifted. She nudged my back with her nose. I chuckled as I removed my clothes. I shifted and before she could take off running I licked her nose. She rubbed her face against mine.
"Enough you too!" Jared yelled at us. Watched as Jules rolled her eyes at him. I growled as I hated that they always seem to ruin our moments together.
"Asshole!" I growled at him and Paul nudged him with his nose.
"Man just leave them alone!" Paul said, making Jules licked my muzzle before she took off. I chased after her as did everyone else. I could hear Sam laughing at us.
We arrived sooner than any of us wanted to. Only to see most of the Cullens standing farther back from where Bella and Edward were standing. "Where are they?" Bella hissed as she held her thing in her arms. "You told them that we wanted this meeting right away?" She asked and Edward nodded his head at her. "Then why have we been waiting for over two hours?" She asked and I chuckled. I looked over at Jake and he was smiling. It was his idea to make them wait. As a way to show them that the pack wouldn't bend to them.
"I don't know!" He yelled at her. She looked at him and hissed. "I am sorry! I didn't mean to yell at you." He said as he held up his hands. I shook my head as Sam took the lead. Coming through the trees. Jules and Jake were next followed, then Paul and Jared.
"About time!" Bella hissed at us. I could feel the anger rolling off of Jules. "Jake!" She said as she looked at him. Like she was waiting for him to run over to her. "JAKE!" She yelled this time. "Edward!" She growled as she looked over at him.
"I can't hear them." He said and this seemed to piss them both off. Jake and Jules walked away from us and back into the woods. When they came back out they were dressed.
"And you never will again!" Jules said as she took her place again.
"Thank god for that!" Jake said as he took his place next to Jules. "You two called this meeting. So get on with it!" He said and I was a little shocked at how he was acting. I was proud of him for finally standing up for not only himself but for the pack as well. "Or how about I start!" Jake said and this earned him a few head nods from the pack.
