I was pissed when Jake tried to take over my party that Sam, Paul and Jared were throwing for me in a few days. Embry and I had been doing ok and everyone thought we were just the cutest. Jake still hated that we were dating and would try to go on dates with us saying that we were just hanging out so why should it be a big deal. I grew frustrated as Embry really didn't say any to him about it. I end up telling them both that the party was canceled as I didn't want them there anymore. Since Jake would make it about him.
"So, what would you like to do instead? Dinner and a movie?" Embry asked as Jake smiled at me.
"OH! The guys are taking me to dinner and a movie. So I will be with them." I said as I hated lying to him but If he wasn't going to take our relationship seriously then neither would I. Embry looked at me hurt as I was blowing him off on my birthday. Jake looked at me pissed.
"Shouldn't you be with your boyfriend on your birthday? And with family?" He asked as I scoffed at him. I was past the point of being annoyed or mad at my twin brother. I was clear he didn't care about anyone but himself.
"You mean you, Quil and Embry. Where I become the third wheel to you all and have to pay for you for everything. Cause you are a cheap ass loser!" I said as I pointed at my brother. Embry looked at me guilty and Jake looked at me annoyed. "Where I can't even be alone with my so-called boyfriend, cause my brother always had to be the center of attention." I said as Jake now looked hurt. "Or how about this... it doesn't even feel like I have a boyfriend. Cause he won't tell you to back off and let us be alone." I yell before storming off to my room.
"What's her problem? You're my friend too!" I heard Jake say pissing me off even more. He doesn't get it. He doesn't see that he is ruining what we have with our imprint! He is breaking our bond with Embry. This will kill us if he succeeds. The voice says again. I hold my head as my anger takes control. Breathe Jules... Breath! I said to myself as I felt a sharp pain in my heart. Like it was being ripped open. I screamed as I tried to grab my phone. I heard Embry and Jake pounding on my door as I called Paul.
"Paul!.. Something is wrong!" I said before I screamed again. I heard my father ask what was going on before he tried to open my door. "Please Paul make it stop! It hurts!" I cried out before blackness took hold.
I woke up in Sam and Emily's house. Paul and Jared, sleeping on the floor next to me. "Good, you are finally awake! You made us all worried!" Emily said as she walked in with food.
"How long have I been out?" I asked as she gave me a sad smile.
"You were gone for 2 days! Out for one!" she said as I looked at her shocked, she gave me a sad smile. That means that my birthday is today. I am officially 16. I smiled as I could get my license and drive. That I would have to rely on others to get me places. "Embry has been over to check on you." She said as I scoffed at that.
"Hey little wolf!" I heard Sam say, making me smile at him. Sam is a good Alpha... He should be the rightful Alpha. Not your brother. He cares about his pack and his people. The voice says as I nod my head.
"You had us all scared little wolf!" Paul says as he sits down next to me and hugged me. Jared doing the same after Paul. "Don't ever do that again." He said as I was confused as to what he was talking about.
"What happened?" I asked as they all looked at me guilty.
"What do you remember?" Sam asked as I don't really remember anything after I called Paul.
"I remember calling Paul and asking you to make it stop. After that everything goes black." I said as they all looked shocked. "I dreamed about running in the woods! But I wasn't me, I was a wolf. A white wolf." I said as I remembered how free I felt.
"That wasn't a dream. After you called Paul, we all rushed over to your house. Your father sent Embry and Jake to the living room so we could try to talk to you. Paul ended up breaking your door down as you screamed in pain." Sam said as I sat there shocked.
"We were able to get you outside in time! But what happened next we didn't expect to happen. After you Phased you took off. We tried to follow you but we lost you." Jared said as I sat in silence just listening to them.
"It wasn't until last night that you showed up here crying." Paul said, making me nod my head at them. "Your mind would let us in to help you. It was like you didn't want us to see what caused you to phase." He said as I chuckled at him.
"Heartbreak!" I said as they all looked confused. Well everyone but Sam. Sam gave me a sad smile as he knew what I meant.
"We need to work on your phasing and see if you can open your mind to us." Sam said as I nodded my head at him. "It will be ok little wolf." He said as I smiled at him. I was so sure about that. They didn't want me to move for the rest of today. But they also didn't want to ruin my birthday. So we had a small bonfire at the beach when the sun started to set. I smiled as Jared and Paul started to ruffhouse. It was nice and quiet. I sighed when I saw Jake, Quil and Embry show up with my father. I refused to look at Embry as I didn't want to see what was now ruined.
