"So, I've been staying up later, I still haven't written the essays they want me to, but they haven't done anything. Even though I break curfew every other day." Ann said, dropping her head onto robin's shoulder as they sat in a hallway. "Do I kick it up a notch? I don't want to do anything too bad."

Robin sighed, "honestly, with how strict your parents are I thought breaking curfew was going to be enough" she muttered.

"Me too," the blonde girl confessed. "So, what do I even do? I don't want to slack off on school, I need my GPA to stay high."

"You could dress less like... you? Put on some more black, stop wearing pretty skirts?" robin proposed, "Oh! You could also get a boyfriend, didn't they not let you go to that dance when you told them you got invited by that boy?" she said suddenly as the idea popped through her head.

"You know what, that's not stupid," Ann replied, looking at robin with a smile. "But where do I even get someone to date?"

Robin looked at Ann, a baffled look on her face "Uh, hello? You're like, one of the most sought-after girls in all of the school!" she deadpanned, "finding you someone is going to be really easy; you can even ask some of your friends on the cheer squad if they know someone, they could set you up with, or something"

Ann sighed "I could, but I don't want someone who'd actually want to go out with me, you know? It'd need to be someone who doesn't want to date me." She said to robin, "It also has to be someone they would hate if I want this to work."

"Eddie Munson!" she suddenly whispered, barely loud enough so that Ann could hear her.

"What? Why are we talking about Eddie now?" Ann asked robin, who got up and gathered her things.

"So, you need someone your parents will hate, right?" Ann nodded as robin spoke, "He's a drug dealer, is in a punk rock band, has long hair and is just, kind of weird." She said, describing Eddie. "He's probably not too fond of you but that just works, he won't like you, and you can ask him to pretend to be your boyfriend for a while, just until you get what you want for your parents!" she finished off, walking away but still facing Ann's way as the second girl got up and grabbed her own bag.

"How do I even get him to agree?" said the taller girl, hiking her bag strap higher on her shoulder.

"Give him money or something, he looks like a pretty simple guy if I'm being honest." Robin told the girl "It could kind of be like a drug deal, but you're hiring him to be a boyfriend. A boyfriend deal!" she exclaimed, laughing at her own joke.

"I can ask him, it'll be weird, and he'll probably say no, but it's worth a shot." Ann said as the two girls walked towards their respective classes, "Anyway, I'll try calling you later!"

As robin walked further down the hallway, Ann brought her hand up to her head and brushed some hair behind her ear, sighing.

"So, I really need to ask out Eddie Munson, huh?" she whispered to herself as she entered her AP biology class.
