Hm...
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°No perspective.
There was an awkward silence and Aiden was soon caught up on that fact. Looking between the two other people sitting in the carriage, he looked at Ava who was practically sticking to the window as if wanting out get out of there while she hugged her arms tightly. Silas was just glaring outside at the passing land.
He cleared his throat bringing both of their attention. Neither of them looked at him, just peeped from the corner of their eyes.
"So," He looked between them with a raised brow. "What happened?"
Silas looked at Ava only for a second but that wasn't unnoticed by Aiden who narrowed his eyes at him. "Nothing."
Ava wanted to scoff at his words but remained silent. There was another long pause but then Silas spoke up. "I ran into a wolverian."
Aiden's eyes widened. "Did anything happen?"
Is that why Ava is so silent? Did he hurt her?
Silas shook his head. "No, but there was something about him making me want to kill him with those rings."
He balled his fists in anger and Ava didn't miss that. She pressed her body more towards the door and calmed her breathing.
"Wait, what rings?" Aiden looked at him with confused eyes.
"He had a game stall, the one where you throw the rings to win the prize." He ran his hand through his hair feeling exhausted.
"So, at what point did you want to kill him?" He made sure his voice was small not to let Ava hear.
"I don't know, his dementor made me feel that something was off about him." He shrugged and looked at Aiden with seriousness. "There were more of them than I had expected."
"Around...?" Aiden raised a brow.
"Twenty." He nodded making sure the number was right. "Men."
Ava was just listening to them while looking outside. They have been on the road for almost half an hour and she was planning the ways she could escape from them after reaching the human village.
Wolverian as in werewolves. Thinking that Ava's eyes widened. That man was a werewolf? He looked like a normal human to her.
But not all humans who look alike behave with humanity, not all have a heart or a bone to care for.
Aiden hummed in consideration. "We should keep an eye on them as long as they are here. We wouldn't want them to make any problems again." His voice was laced with hatred making Ava look at him questioningly.
"I hate when those fucking mutts come in our territory. Those bitches are always in heat and their pets have no leash." Aiden chuckled and Silas nodded in agreement.
Do they hate werewolves? Ava asked Esmeray but nothing came. She furrowed her brows when she was met with silence and worry took over her.
Esmeray? You there?
Nothing again but Ava could feel her. She could feel her sadness, hurt and pain but Ava was confused that what brought this reaction in her? Why hating werewolf was hurting Esmeray? Did she know a werewolf?
"Ava?" She snapped out of her thoughts hearing Aiden's voice. "You, okay?"
"Yeah." Her voice broke a bit making her internally scold herself.
"What were you thinking?" He tilted his head. Her eyes met Silas for a second and then back to Aiden.
"Do," She cleared her throat. "Do you not like werewolves?"
