Cassius.

Aiden has been acting weird for a few days now. I have tried to give him some space from whatever is going on in his head, thinking he will come to me to talk when comfortable but it's taking too long.

Even Ava has noticed it and is making her nervous all the time. He keeps glancing at her every single minute he gets and when notices me watching him, he looks away. It's not even in a romantic way.

It's creepy almost like he is looking for something.

The night when we had our first intense scene still makes me hard thinking about. The next morning was even better when we cooked for each other. But now that I think about it, the timing matches when Aiden started being distant.

Was it because of the scene? I know having Ava is new in our sexual relationship and maybe he is not comfortable with it but he was the one who wanted to do it.

I seriously need to have a word with him after we are done with this.

Letting out a sigh, we walked down the stairs to the main dungeons. Where we keep criminals. Where we keep Ryuu is different. He is living there so that we catch hold of Feyre, so we can't keep him in dirty dungeons where there probably are dead rats and cobwebs everywhere.

The demon guards bow as they open the gates. Aiden and I walk inside. My eyes immediately adjusted to the darkness. The light of the fire torches is the only one providing visibility to the pathetic human in the faraway cell.

Kane.

With Aiden by my side, we stand outside his cell as he lets out and pleads to let him out. Poor thing doesn't know the only way he will be leaving these dungeons will be in a body bag.

"Oh, God!" Kane gasped at the site of us, tied to a chair with his hands and legs roped together. 

Too weak to even get out of that. Pity.

"I know, we are quite a sight to look at." Aiden chuckles as he stands on my right with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Dear god, please, I have done nothing wrong to go through this-" I give Aiden a side eye, his face mirroring mine. This is ridiculous. "I made my mother happy and my friends then why?"

I cringe at his cry.

My fist made contact with his face making him fall silent. Thank the fates. I can't believe this is the man that Ava was with and she thought it was worth spending her life with.

"What do you want?! Why am I here!?" I punched him again. Just shut up already.

"Oh, we will get to that soon." I snickered and stood behind him keeping my hands firmly over his shoulders making him shiver.

"What in the devil's name are you, people!" Aiden gave me an irritating expression making me nod to him.

"Well dickhead, if you had been a bit sensible you wouldn't have been here." Aiden chuckled and took out a metal rod from the corner.

Kane got stiff, pushing himself away from it.

"Please-you need to understand-" Aiden walked around him, circling him like a shark. Fuck he looks hot.

"I had to-I never would have done it if she was not doing the measurements!" Both our brows furrowed at that. What the fuck is he talking about? Before we could ask, he continued.

"I was minding my own business but she was being all nice and offered me a drink and she was on me, man."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" I walked and faced him. Ava is not a person who drinks.
