Cassius.

I didn't listen to Luke as I hit the first of my many blows. But sadly, I was pushed back by Killan who reeked of rage.

"You have quite the balls to harm my mate." I gritted out, ignoring how Luke pulled Killan's battered body to stand. "First my male and now my female. One might think you have an obsession with me."

"She is my daughter!" I scoffed at his words.

"How many females have you encountered after your female?" My eyes narrowed, dismissing the warning growl. "From my knowledge, you have not stepped foot outside this hallway for, what, eighteen years?"

"She is my daughter." He looked at Luke who gave him a pained expression. "I know those eyes, can't you see? She looks exactly like her."

"Killan, it's been years now." Luke lets out a pained sigh and then looks at me. "I apologize for him. If you want, I can personally apologize to your mates for the inconvenience caused-"

"No."

He let out another sigh. "Very well." "Luke. Listen to me-" "I will arrange for your departure next morning-"

"No need."

"She is Sylvaine!" Oh, I wish to snap his neck right now. "Let me speak to her. She might remember me."

"You are not stepping a foot near my family." I narrowed my eyes to him.

If only Luke was not holding him back, he might turn into a wolf right this second.

Luke gave me a nod and I lingered my eyes a second longer on the High King as I straightened my shirt and took a leave, ignoring the shouting that erupted behind me.

Pigs.

"Well, that was interesting." I froze as I stepped outside into the common gardens hearing the familiar voice.

I could feel my demon itching out, the markings on my hand were already swirling so I let my wings out in a flash and turned to the body. Not giving a damn about who sees us, I plunged into the sky, holding his collar while he just kicked the air.

I was doing my best not to rip his throat with my teeth. A few meters away from the land, I stopped and held him by his throat, narrowing my eyes at him when he grinned back.

"Those wings look big." I let out a growl making Zane only laugh.

"Take it as a blessing that the eclipse is no more or I might have just burned your body for my entertainment." It was as if the night had gone silent and I could only hear the swift sound of my wings. "You threatened Ava's life."

He just shrugged making me let him go in the air. He yelped, catching the air for support. I pulled him back by his throat.

Why on earth is everyone after Ava? First Duke, then Kane, then Zane, and then Killan. I can see the pattern here. All lonely desperate males.

"This is not a joke Zane!" I seethed at him. "You ambushed into my home, disguised as me!"

"It's a good thing I didn't do more than that." I let out a loud growl and threw him to the nearest cliff.

The sound of bones breaking was a pleasure to my ears. I reached, pinning him on the stone as I punched him for a good measure until he couldn't laugh.

My chest heaved as I pulled back seeing nothing but hate in his eyes. Something foreign tugged in my heart.

Will my sons be like this too?

I shook my head, throwing that thought out before I thought further.
