I was feeling generous so another early update!

Ava

"Beautiful," I put my arms to the side as the tailor measures my bust. "Good," The tape swiped and swirls around my body by itself as the man stands near the table while writing the notes. "Mhm, not bad."

The measuring tape measures my hem and neckline and I try not to show my nerves or panic seeing a flying tape circling my body. Aiden stands near the tailor casually giving me a beaming smile making me copy his own. "Perfect."

I let out a huff when the man claps his hand and the tape coils around his neck like a snake. I hop down from the small platform as Aiden lends me a hand as we stand in front of the man. My eyes shift towards the mirror behind him and catch Aiden looking at me, wiggling his eyebrows making me give him a shy smile.

"My my," My eyes snap to the man as he looks at the clipboard and then back at me. "You sure are a beauty." Heat rushes to my cheeks as I stand there giving him a polite smile whereas Aiden nods like a proud husband. Husband?

-Don't ask me, I didn't say it.

"Well thank you." I look over to Aiden who gives me a small smile as we both wait for the man to finish his notes.

"So, what do you have in mind? How do you want your dress to be?" I bit my lip not knowing.

"I have never been to the celestial ball," He raises his brows in surprise making me glance at Aiden. "What am I expected to wear?"

"Basically, ball gowns, fancy ballgowns." The man nods with a bright smile writing that down.

Aiden looks at me. "He is a very near person to do the gowns for big events and personalizes dresses depending upon the personality one has. He will ask some random questions and you tell him and he will bring out the dress a day prior for trial." I nod in bewilderment.

"So, I can work with that," I bring my attention back to the man. "Looking at your eyes you have beautiful hazel and nice long hair. What do we prefer here, to put it up or let it loose."

"Up." I would like all to see the mark they put on me. They are my men.

I catch Aiden's eyes in the mirror and they are wide in shock as they snap to look at me. I give him a questioning look as he searches my eyes. "What?"

"I swear, your eyes were brown when I first met you." My heart started to beat faster by the second as I searched for an answer.

"What?" I shook my head in denial, I know my eyes have been changing colour for quite some time now but I thought no one will notice as it was such a small change. "No, they were hazel."

He looked deep in thought making me wipe my nervous palms over my dress giving him a small smile. More like convincing myself of the lie I had told.

"Yeah, you are right." He let out a chuckle and shook his head making me let out a sigh.

I hate lying to him like that.

"Now what do you like?" The tailor said as if the little talk between me and Aiden never happened. "For instance hobbies such as archery or sword fights, painting,"

"Umm..." I liked many things and it's hard to pick one when told to do. "I like climbing trees. I like the forest."

The tailor smiled as he wrote it down. "Spring, winter, monsoons, or the autumns?"

My lips curved up remembering the woods where me and Duke used to play when we were little. "The spring."

"Day or night?" "Night."
