No perspective.

Ava walked through the woods clueless about her surroundings. Turning around every other step she took, afraid that someone might be following her.

Maybe it's just my mind playing games.

Little did she know there was someone in the woods other than her. Hearing a distant sound of water, Ava's curiosity caught the best of her. Her feet took her over to where she was hearing the rippling sound of water flowing. Taking in the sight in front of her she gasped, seeing a lake similar to the one back at her home.

The only difference was the fog covering the other side of the land. It was thick and not like the fog which would be seen in the early mornings. It was calm and there wasn't any sound other than the lake water.

Ava narrowed her eyes when a distant sight caught her eye. It was a person for sure. A girl, probably similar to her age. Taking a hesitant step in her direction Ava saw the girl more clearly. Her dark brown hair was pulled up in a bun, her olive skin looking a bit pale due to the humid cold weather. Ava gasps making her turn in my direction. She couldn't believe what her eyes revealed.

The girl looked exactly like Ava. The only difference was the eyes. Her eyes were amber and it reminded Ava of the eyes she saw in her dream.

"How?" Ava asked herself.

"Because I am you, Ava." The girl replied by looking at her and then going back to staring at the foggy scene.

Not knowing what to do Ava follows her gaze and her eyes widen in surprise. There were two wolves, pups, playing alongside the lake, unknown that the two people were looking at them. Ava looks back at that girl and furrows her brows when she sees her smiling.

"Don't they look happy Ava?" She asks, sounding just like her. It made Ava uncomfortable not knowing the situation.

"Yeah, they do." She said not sure what to say. "Why am I here?"

"How am I supposed to know silly." The girl chuckles and looks at Ava. "You came walking here on your own. So you tell me, why are you here?"

Ava looked at her with a creased forehead, trying to remember what lead her here. "I don't remember. The last thing I remember was that I was in a castle and I was trying to escape. There was a dragon and after that, I went back. I was with-" Ava stops her words when she remembers.

I was with Silas. What happens after that? Did I fall and crack my head open? Am I dead?

The last thought made Ava panic and shake her head. "No. It can't be." She said while looking at the amber-eyed girl who looked at her with a hint of pity in her eyes. "Am I dead?"

"I don't know." The girl shrugged and looked back at the playing pups. "I know for a fact that I am not dead so I don't think that you are dead. If you were you wouldn't be here."

Ava felt relief hearing her words. Not that she would trust a stranger who looked exactly like her but there wasn't anyone else around to ask or give her an explanation.

"Who are you?"

"I told you the answer to that." She shakes her head making Ava take a deep breath in.

"I mean your name." She tilts her head trying to get the attention of the girl.

"Esmeray."

"Oh." Ava fidgeted with her fingers when she didn't ask what her name was in return.
