Hello humans!!
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

Cassius.

Days turned into weeks and then into a month. Ava was feeling good now. All bones healed. The first few days she hesitated about sleeping with us so we got in a separate bed in the room because she didn't want to be alone.

After a few days, she and Calix spent a lot of time together. He was still quiet and not jumpy at all but being outside in the grass at least had his tail wagging.

From what I could gather from my spies, his mates were older than him by ten years but the reason for the rejection was obvious. Calix held a banishing mark right over his chest and neck. But I guess age didn't grace them with maturity for rejecting him.

The male was learning trade and by the looks of it, was struggling in it. From what I know, the plan that I have will have his trade in big dept for the rest of his life.

But that's another story for him to continue if he wants to.

Bastian is dead, and Nico now holds the throne with Cole and Oliva. They visited Ava last week to apologize but Ava said that it wasn't their fault and if you ask me, I think she is right.

The flower decoration done for our arrival after our mating bond was removed seeing that things had not turned out the way they were supposed to. The council was still reluctant to the idea of a werewolf queen but half of them had obliged.

Zane lives with us now, annoying me half the time rather than assisting me at work.

Letting out a sigh, I relax back in my chair when the window to my right slams open making me sit up in a start.

A smirk pulls over my lips seeing a familiar female holding a knife directed at me. All gray clothes with her brown hair tied in a long braid.

"Well, isn't this a warm welcome, Feyre." I smiled at her but her eyes remained narrowed at me as if any movement would bring someone to pounce on her.

"I want Ryuu." I let out a sigh.

"Can we talk?" Her face remained static but nodded, her knife still directed at me. Not that it will bring me any harm but I give her the upper hand by eying the weapon. "Like civil siblings."

Yes, we were a unique kind, where your siblings hold weapons to your throat.

She gritted her teeth and lowered her hand.

"Have a seat." I motioned her to the chair but she didn't sit.

"I'm not here to chat." Very well. "All I want is Ryuu and we'll be out of here, so name the price."

I stared at her for a moment. Her red eyes, dark circles, pale skin, and bony structure. Clearly, she has not been eating well or sleeping either. The mark on her neck on one side and the other remained bare for the mate she would never meet.

As if knowing my thoughts, she shuffles in her seat making me look back at her. I could see the pain in her eyes which she tried to conceal very hard but a brother knows when his sister is in pain. Just doesn't always act on it like how she wants it to be.

"How are you?"

"I'm not here to chat." She said through gritted teeth.

"I heard you the first time." I crossed my arms over my chest as I looked at her. "And now I ask you, how are you?"

There was a long silence and for a minute I thought she would get up and leave but she surprised me by speaking.

"I'm fine." Clearly, she looks fine. Anything but fine.
