I cried a bit while writing this chapter. Just a heads up!!

Ava.

It's been a week now, and tomorrow we are going to go back to the castle. To tell the truth, I will miss the manor but Cassius has promised to bring us here again.

It's raining outside, so it is a bit colder here than usual. Aiden says that this would be the last rain before the snow starts to melt. I can't wait to see what it looks like without snow. It's never sunny here so will there be trees? Of course, but then everything will be just dark.

It's afternoon right now, Aiden and Cassius both had to go outside near the borders. From their heated conversation before, I think things don't look good. It's probably why we are leaving tomorrow.

I have been exploring the manor for the last half an hour and there is still yet to see more. My feet guided me back to the library. My cheeks heat up remembering the time when I was reading out to Aiden, one of the dirtiest books they had ever picked and as I read, they promised to do it after they got home.

It turns out we can't go all the way through sex because we are not mated yet. They both are too faithful to it and I am not going to make them break it. But that doesn't mean that there won't be other teasing and intimidating stuff to do.

My heart still hammers in anticipation about the promise they both had made, of using me until I went limp. I press my thighs together letting out a small giggle.

I skim through the shelves, wanting to search for something more of the kingdom. I furrow my brows and lean further to look closely. Pulling out a few books aside, I find three big books having thread bindings, kept neatly on top of each other.

From the looks of it no one had paid attention to this section of the shelf, so they were covered with lots of dust. Licking my dry lips, I looked around, nervousness pooling in my stomach as I took them out and sat on the nearby couch. I ran my hands over the brown leather cover of the book which closely looked like a journal.

Biting my lip, I sat there for a few minutes debating whether to open it or not. Is this Cassius's journal? Fuck it. I opened the topmost book and traced my hand over the cursive name written.

Faolan.

I furrowed my brows and my eyes widened at the memory of reading his name on the painting the night Cassius had me locked up in one of his dungeons. This is his father's diary. From what I recollect, his dad used to come here to the manor with him and no one else. So, this must be his biological father.

With shaky hands, I turned over the delicate page, reading it. There were no dates as I turned more pages, just writings as if he wrote when he got time. Picking out a random paragraph I started to read.

I find her very beautiful. Though she is a vampire my demon has been spooned to make her the only woman he will ever look at. I can't wait to spend the rest of my centuries with her. My father is very happy for me to find a female. And today I will mate her. I have bathed twice till now, having heard the females like clean males. I also planned on what to cook for her after we bond. If she seems comfortable one day, I might paint her and our children.

She will make a great queen.

I know she didn't. From what I have heard from both of my males she was a selfish, self-centered bitch. But it hurts knowing this is what he was thinking before he found out the real side of her. I turned some more pages not wanting to read their mating days. I will give him that privacy.

I found my second mate and I cannot be any happier. He is perfect in everything and I know I am writing a year after meeting him but over the year, I can't help but feel...jealous. I am not supposed to feel that, he is as much mine as he is of my female. But it would help to lessen the hurt if my female doesn't always favor him in front of me.
