I'm sorry in advance :|

Ava.

Today is the day. This is it.

Two days flew away like it was a blink of an eye. I haven't even slept properly due to the thoughts running through my mind. All if's and but's and the circumstances for it.

The whole morning Silas and Aiden were with me but none said a word regarding the fact that I was going to stay or leave them. Maybe they don't want to pressurize me into this but I could feel the nervousness in their every action.

It made me feel guilty sometimes but Esmeray was always there to remind me that this is our decision and we are not going to make a rash decision because I felt guilty.

It's evening now and surprisingly the sky is clear so I could see the moon rising. Even though it's always dark I have started to know the difference between day and night without looking at the clock.

During the daytime, there would be a grayish light in the sky which later fades and turns into complete darkness during the night.

Opening the doors to the main room I let out a frustrated groan. Aiden and Silas are nowhere to be found. My shoulders slump and I look over at the fireplace. They said to meet here at seven but I see no one here.

Walking inside, I furrow my brows seeing a box laid out on the sofa with an envelope addressed to me on top. Picking it up, I flip it over to read. It was an invitation to see the merfolk and who will say no to that?

How do I know who wrote the message? Because it was directed to little human. Once I used to loathe that name but I have come around to like it now.

I gasped opening the box. There was a pair of ankle length dress, a type I used to wear in the Mertz kingdom. I hurried to my room and changed into it, looking in the mirror one last time as I sprinted down the stairs to the main doors.

My steps slowed as I found Silas fixing Aiden's shirt while Aiden was groaning not liking it one bit. Cute.

Their attention turned to me as I walked further in their direction. Their faces held a smile as their eyes watched me walk toward them.

I was nervous and this moment brought the memories of the day we visited the market. Silas hadn't liked what I had worn. That thought made me slow down my step and I was hesitant to go and stand in front of him.

As if reading my mind Silas's smile fell and he walked towards me. He held my hand making me feel the tingles as he brought it towards his lips and gave it a gentle kiss over my knuckles.

"You are looking beautiful, Ava." He gave me a small smile and then gave me an apologetic one. "That day I was convincing myself that I should not be with you and that is why I said those words even though you looked like a walking goddess in the house of hell."

My cheeks turned pink as I nodded to his apology. I won't say it's okay because it's not but I understand it.

Aiden grinned from his spot and planted a small kiss on my cheek as we walked out.

"Where are we going?" I asked confusingly. We were not heading towards the carriage. I stopped in my tracks seeing what was in front of me. There was a huge black horse with wings standing in front of us.

No way!

"Is that a Pegasus?!" I covered my mouth looking at it with astonishment. I thought they must be a fantasy as well.

It looked majestic and bigger than the usual horses. Both of them guided me towards it and the man standing by the horse's side gave us a bow and walked to the side.
