It was the day of the UA Sports Festival and it was safe to say that the excitement in the air was palpable. When I got to school, there were food vendors, fans, reporters, etc all outside the arena having a good time. I, as a competitor, had to report inside to get ready and so I did

Kamui Woods POV

Me and some other heroes had been hired on as security for the UA Sports Festival. It wasn't very glamorous but it was work and it was for the safety of everyone there so I was fine with it. We were separated into groups of 3 and were sent out to patrol. I was assigned with Mt. Lady and Death Arms

"I'll take one order to go please" Yuu says as we pass by a food stand

They were selling some sort of filled bun and Yuu was completely captivated by the smell

"Whoa! Mt. Lady, is it really you?" The vendor exclaims

I roll my eyes. Here we go

"Hold the salt would you" Yuu asks

"Of course. That's gonna be $10" the vendor says

"Um...oh no, my moneys in another costume" Yuu says, obviously trying to use her looks to get free food

"This one's on the house!" The vendor exclaims

"Thanks!" Yuu exclaims fakely

"You're terrible yknow that?" I chastise as we start to walk around some more

Yuu looks unphased by her actions

"I was hoping I'd get to do some scouting while I was here" I groan

"Yeah, too bad we're stuck working security this time" Death Arms says

"I mean they have screens outside the arena to show big things but as far as a close up view, you're out of luck" Yuu says before taking a bite out of her food

"Yeah. Out of luck" I grumble

Y/N POV

We were sent to the locker rooms to change into our gym clothes, not our hero costumes. Unfortunately

"Aw man" Ashido complains, "I was hoping to wear my costume"

"At least everyone'll be in uniforms. That'll keep things fair right" Kirishima says as he stretches

"I wonder what they got for us in the first round" I say

The door slams open and Iida enters, looking determined as ever

"Everyone!" He shouts, "Get your game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!"

Everyone started talking to themselves, trying to hype themselves up. I reminisced on my training and got even more excited

"Midoriya" Todoroki says as he walks up to Midoriya

He was the one who broke the silence so we all looked towards him

"From an objective point of view, it's fair to say that I'm stronger than you" he continues

"Uh...um yeah" Midoriya stutters

"However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out. I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you" Todoroki says bluntly

"Buuuuzzzzkillllll" i say loudly

"What's with all these declarations of war lately" Kaminari says trying to lighten the mood

"What's the deal man" Kirishima asks

"We're not here to make friends" Todoroki says, "Don't forget. This isn't a team effort"
