Rumi and I changed into our hero costumes and took the streets around 3 o'clock.

"So what's on the docket today babe" I ask

"Don't call me babe" she says, "Not in public. Remember we're not officially dating in public eye yet"

"Ouch" Seinikku says

For some odd reason, that kinda hurt my feelings. As if she was embarrassed or ashamed to be seen with me. I know that wasn't the case at all, but it still hurt

"So what should I call you then" I ask

"Mirko" she says, "That's my hero name after all"

"Ok then, Mirko, what's on the docket for today?" I ask

"Today is just patrol" she says, "We walk around the streets and look out for any kind of illegal activity"

"Sounds boring" i say

"It is, but it's necessary" she says, "Even if nothing happens, just the fact that we're walking around in broad daylight deters any would be criminals from doing anything"

"That makes sense" i say

The next 5 hours consisted of us just walking up and down the streets of the city doing absolutely nothing. We couldn't even talk to each other because said it would "distract us from any would be crimes that might occur"

Overall, pretty sucky start to this work study to be honest, but it was the first day so I expected things to pick up as it continued

By the time I got back to the dorms, unpacked, and showered, it was around 9 o'clock. Even though I was pretty damn exhausted, I decided to go hang out with everyone downstairs

"You found an agency for your work study?" Ochaco asks Midoriya, "Congratulations Deku!"

I was currently making a sandwich

"That's awesome!" Mina exclaims

"Indeed, well done Midoriya" Iida says, "You're an example to us all"

"I dunno how the rest of us are supposed to compete though" Kaminari says

"Yeah, you'll be working at Sir Nighteyes agency" Sero says, "That's seriously amazing

"And I hear Togata recommended you" Kirishima says

"Pretty impressive man" Sato says

"Um yeah I guess" Midoriya says kinda awkwardly

It was pretty obvious that he wasn't used to this kind of attention

"The distance between us just keeps getting wilder" I hear Todoroki mumbles, "We've got to catch up, and soon"

Bakugo grumbles in agreement

"I wish I had a place picked out" Ochaco says, "The school said Gunhead hasn't had enough interns so his agency is a no go"

"I know what you mean" Tsu says, "I wanted to go to Selkies but that's not gonna happen"

"Yeah, same for Fourth Kind" Kirishima groans, "He doesn't even accept students for work studies"

"The teachers sure aren't making this easy for us are they" Sero says

"Thanks to all these requirements, a bunch of agencies are ruled out right off the bat" Kaminari says

"We can't really blame them" Ojiro says, "Unlike the internships, we'll be directly involved. So if anything were to go wrong then-"

"Then the pros have to take responsibility for whatever happened" Aizawa says as he walks into the room, "Only pros who are the real deal will take rookies like you guys knowing the risks involved. Tokoyami, looks like you've got on offer from one of them. Hawks has invited you to work with him in Kyushu"
