Y/N POV

"It's over" i say

"Yeah, it is" Seinikku says

I suddenly feel myself forced back into possession of my body.

"You gave my body back?" I ask

"My help was needed for a brief moment" Seinikku says, "As far as I'm concerned, I've done my best to do that"

"You did" I smile, "Thank you Seinikku, but we have to have another talk later"

"Hey" I hear Rumi says as she grabs my shoulder

I look back at her and she's seemingly left speechless for a second

"Y/N?" She asks as I realize she somehow knew I was in control

"Yeah, I'm back" i say

Just then, my body gets flooded with all that pain and aching that it had sustained in that battle. I fall to my knees, cough up some blood, and grab a hold of my arm

"Are you ok?" Rumi exclaims as she squats down next to me

"Yeah...I'm fine" i say as I wince in pain

Just then, I realized the giant stab wound on her foot and the giant gash on her shoulder

"Rumi..." i say as my eyes widen, "You're shoulder"

"I'm fine, ok" she says as she too winces in pain, "Part of being a hero is being able to take the hits"

I couldn't shake the horrifying reality of the situation. Even if she was a pro hero and even if this was technically what she'd signed up for, seeing her this injured hurt like hell to see. I felt powerless to help her

"We should get back with the others" she says

"Yeah..." I respond, my mind still focused on her injuries, "We should"

"We have a lot of seriously injured people here!" Ryukyu shouts to everyone, "We need ambulances, quickly!"

We regrouped with the other heroes and the rest of the police and the first order of business was to attend to everyone's injuries. Some were minor like concussions, cuts, bruises, etc, and some were extreme, like Nighteye who had been stabbed by some of Chisakis spikes

"Check to make sure we didn't leave any victims!" Ryukyu continues, "The League of Villains may still be nearby! Search for them!"

Mirio passed out due to his injuries but he'd be fine, Amajiki took a beating but he looked fine too, Kirishima was wheeled out on a stretcher after tanking all of Rappas hits, and Midoriya was talking to the police chief about Eri. Rumi and I were patched up with bandages but we'd still need to go to the hospital, all of us would. Bubble Girl, Centipede, and Midoriya all huddled around Nighteye as he was loaded onto an ambulance and rushed to the hospital. I stood off the side with Rumi as, I terms of seriousness of injury, we were kinda on the lower end, especially after being bandaged up. We'd be fine for the time being

I lowered my head as I thought about how, even though we'd won, there were still a lot of people who got hurt

"Hey Y/N" Ryukyu says as she walks up to me, "I know it's not a time for celebrating since a lot of people got hurt, but thanks for all you did today"

"Thanks" i say halfheartedly

And with that, the mission to save one little girl finally came to an end

"You had a couple of lacerations on both of your forearms and a deep gash on your shoulder" the doctor says, "We managed to stitch up the wounds and wrapped them in bandages as well as administer some medication to lower the swelling and pain. Overall, I'd say you were lucky that you didn't need surgery, but I would still heavily recommend that you refrain from any strenuous activity for at least 2 weeks. We can put you into all these machines and do all the surgeries we wanted, but it's best to let your body recover on its own. Here, these are pain killers"
