Midoriya POV

In the days after the sports festival ended, we recovered from our injuries and then our normal classes started right back up again

Well, some things were different

I was getting recognized in public a lot more. Everyone in class 1A was. We were considered the single most talented class in UA history. But what was even more weird, Y/N hadn't been seen since the Sports Festival. Aizawa said he was out because he was sick but we all thought that there was more he wasn't telling us. We didn't press on though

On this particularly rainy day, I was walking to class when Iida came sprinting up to me. I heard something pretty bad happened to his brother but when I asked him about it, he said everything was fine. I could tell something was bothering him though

When I walked into class, everyone was already there, talking about how they got recognized and what nice things people were saying about them. Their conversations were cut short when Aizawa slammed the door open, now out of his bandages

"Morning!" He says

"Morning Mr. Aizawa" we all respond

"Mr Aizawa" Asui says, "You don't have your bandages anymore. That's good news"

"The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment" he grumbles, "Anyway, we have a big class today on Hero Informatics"

Everyone went silent. We were all expecting a test or a lecture or something boring

"You need code names" he says, "Time to pick your hero identities"

The class erupted into cheers, mainly at the fact that this wasn't going to be a boring class. Aizawa glares at us and we all calm down instantly

"This is related to the pro hero draft picks that i mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally, students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until their second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation, though. See it as a means of motivation. Here are the totals for those of you who got offers."

He presses a button on a remote and the screen behind him shows our class ranked from who got the most offers to who got the least. Students who placed higher in the tournament naturally got more offers

"In past years it's been more spread out, but there's a pretty big gap this time" Aizawa says

I was searching though the names and noticed that Y/N, despite tying for 3rd, didn't get any offers. Them again, neither did I

There were murmurs around the class about how Todoroki got more offers than Bakugo, despite losing to him in the finals

"Mr. Aizawa!" Mina exclaims as she stands from her seat, "How come Y/N didn't get any offers? He finished 3rd"

"Yeah, speaking of which, where is he anyway" Kirishima asks, "I don't think we should do this if we're not all here"

"Silence! Both of you! No one disturbs my class during my instruction" Aizawa shouts before calming down, "Despite, these results, you'll all be interning with pros. Got it. Even those of you who didn't get any offers. You all have experience fighting villains but interning under pros will still be very useful for all of you"

"So that means that we're gonna need hero names" Ochaco exclaims

"These hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or..." Aizawa says before the door slams open again
