Aftermath

Kamui POV

All the heroes managed to rescue all the survivors and they all received immediate medical attention. We didn't finish until day break so everyone was pretty exhausted by the time we finished. After everything was said and done, we were all discharged until further notice so I decided to go home and shower before I go see Y/N at the hospital. I still need to ask Mirko where she left him

I arrived at my doorstep but noticed that my front door was unlocked. I cautiously opened my door and skeptically looked around the room before my eyes shoot open as I see Y/N laying on my couch, bandaged up

Upon closer inspection, he had bandages around his arms and torso and around his forehead. He had deep and permanent scars all over his body as well as a bunch of other cuts and lacerations that would take a while to heal. He didn't look too bad on the outside but I imagine the internal damage was on a whole different level

I'm surprised Rumi wasn't here next to him considering she was the one who dropped him off, she stayed the entire time he was in the hospital after the forest attack, and they were dating. I'd assume she'd never leave his side, but now that I think about it, she didn't really show that much emotion when we found him on the battlefield.

What the hell happened between them?

I sigh as I sit down on a chair next to the couch and sink my face into my hands

"Damnit kid" i say, "You're making things really hard for me yknow that"

I notice a slip of paper on the side table next to the couch. I picked up the paper and read it:

I brought him here to avoid problems with the press and news. Figured I'd let you navigate that one. Recovery Girl healed him as much as she could so call her with anymore questions

I didn't even consider how the news and public would react to Y/N and his fight. Not to mention the heat it would bring down on UA

I stood up and called Revovery Girl. After our conversation, I'd learned that he had bone splints all across his body so he should stay off his feet for at least a week and under no circumstances should he use his quirk during that time. He'd also have permanent nerve and muscle damage that would never be fixed. Overall, Y/Ns career as a hero was going to be much much harder

I decided to try and help out however I could so I called up an old friend to try and soothe some of this damage

I sat at the bar that Aizawa and I agreed to meet at, waiting for him to arrive. The news was on on the tv in the corner and all it was showing was a piece about All Mights retirement.

"You know I much of a drinker right?" Aizawa asks as he takes a seat next to me

"It's just a place for us to talk" i say

"About what? It better not be to catch up" he says coldly

"I realize the negative publicity that UA has received this year from all the villain attacks and I know that Y/Ns fight with that villain definitely didn't help. I wanna know what I can do take some heat off you guys. I'll take responsibility for the kid, I'll do a press conference. Whatever you guys need" I say as I sip my drink

"Truth be told, I don't even know if he'll be allowed back at UA. The principal and I are going to need to talk with the board about him. Even if he is allowed back, he'll need to jump through a bunch of hoops with the school board and bunch of other white collar motherfuckers. It won't be easy I'll tell you that much" Aizawa explains, "That being said though, a press conference from you taking accountability for him would definitely help. Take some of the heat off of UA. I'll ask the principal about setting that up as soon as possible"
